GRAND PRIX CHAIRMAN - Steve Koble, son of Mr. and Mrs. Carroll Koble. Syracuse, has been named the race chairman for the 28th Annual Purdue Grand Prix. Koble, a senior at Purdue, . is majoring in building construction technology. He is currently wbrking on his summer internship with Wright Construction Corporation, Elkhart.

Marion Acton, principal of the Milford Junior High School, announced the following honor roll students for the fourth grading period. To be a member of the Distinguished Honor Roll a student may receive no more than one B with the remainder of the grades being A’s. The student must also have satisfactory grades in citizenship. To be a member of the Regular Honor Roll a student must receive B or better and must have satisfactory grades in citizenship. GIRL STATERS — Amy Clouse, left, has been chosen to represent the Syracuse American Legion Auxiliary Unit 223 at the Hoosier Girl's State, June 10-17. Cathy Cobbum right, was selected as alternated The program is held on the Indiana State University campus and teaches government and Americanism as the girls study and live in cities w here participation is practiced by each girl as she files for office. Miss Clouse is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Tony Clouse, Syracuse. She will be a senior at Wawasee High School and is involved in cross country and track. She is a member of the National Honor Society, FCA and chorus. Miss Cobbum is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Owen Cobbum. She will be a senior at Wawasee High School and is a cheerleader. Miss Cobbum is a member of the Key Club, Drama Club, FCA and the foreign language club. She is also a lifeguard and writes for a local newspaper.
