Summer swim registration set for June 2 Tim Caldwell, director of the summer swim programs, has announced that registration for most swim activities will take place on Saturday, June 2, from 9 a.m. to 2 pm. in the athletic lobby at Wawasee High School. All those wishing to participate in the infant lessons, children’s lessons, adult lessons, diving lessons or competitive swim should be present at the registration session. Lessons are priced at sl2 for people living in the school corporation boundaries and sls for those outside the corporation. Competitive swim registration is S2O or $25 depending on the child’s age. In addition, Caldwell has also announced that the Family Swim program will resume on Monday, July 4, and will run from 4p.m. to 5 p.m. Monday thru Friday. Athletic awards at Syracuse
Last Tuesday evening the Syracuse Junior High coaches presented the year’s athletic awards in a program at the school. Each coach gave a short description of the season and awards were presented to the eighth grade students. Athletic certificates were presented to all students who had participated in athletics. Scholastic-athletic awards were presented to the boy and girl in each grade who had maintained the highest scholastic

Mrs. Carol Swartzendruber presented Mr. Haffner with a plaque for 14 years service to the school on behalf of the PTO. Refreshments were served following the awards.
