THIRD ANNUAL FRESHMEN WELCOME - There were 215 incoming freshmen participating in the third annual freshmen welcome on Thursday evening. May 24, from 7-10:30 p.m. at Wawasee High School. The activity gave the new freshmen the opportunity to get acquainted with the high school and make new friends. In addition to the freshmen there were also 125 parents attending to meet with Dr. Howard Hull, principal; Donn Kesler, vice principal; and staff. The evening was filled with activities, including relay races.
WHS honor roll announced

Bice, Sr., of Milford, was one of 455 graduating seniors at Saint Mary’s College, Notre Dame, who participated in the college’s 137th commencement exercises May 19. Miss Bice received a bachelor of science degree in nursing. At Saint Mary’s, she was a member of the Student Nurses Association. While in college, she was employed part-time as a nurse technician at Kosciusko Community Hospital. Attending from Kosciusko County are: Marty Manuel, r 3 Warsaw, beef production; Richard Karst, r 1 Pierceton, dairy production; and Randy Beer, r 1 Milford, swine production. The training is designed to enable Kosciusko County youth to assume leadership roles in livestock project areas and to provide them with information which they are encouraged to share with others in their community and in their local 4-H clubs. * Workshopjjplanners and presenters are members of Purdue’s Departments of Animal Sciences and State 4-H youth, assisted by extension livestock agents and breed association representatives.
