The following information was obtained from the log of the Syracuse Police Department: April 18 8:30 a.m. — Subject called reference stray dog on the east side of Wawasee requested shelter hours 8:34 a.m. — Subject reference copy of police report for prosecutor 11:32 a.m. - Subject requested information reference obtaining a Cardio-pulmonary resuscitory card she lost 2:10 p.m. - Subject for probation officer 4:38 p.m. — Subject reference do we do vehicle identification number checks 10:11 p.m. — Officer advised of a stolen vehicle from South Shore Golf Course between 7:30 p.m. and 9:45 p.m., a 1981 Caddy, blue with stainless steel top, dealer tag, registered to Nappanee dealer, set of keys was left in the vehicle. Syracuse Police Officer Robert Houser investigated and found that fishermen were using a lantern for light while fishing. SSO damage in furnace fire Syracuse Firemen were called to the home of Kelly Eng land, 206 John Street, Syracuse, at 6:10 p.m., Tuesday evening, April 26, when a waterbed liner on a floor furnace caught fire. Damage was estimated at SSO. When Syracuse Firemen arrived, Pat Kinney had the liner outside the home, ‘however, the apartment was full of smoke and the smoke ejector was used to clear the house of smoke.
