1 am a small town girl who has married a man who works for a big company. My husband is very smart and can easily adapt himself to customs he has not been used to. We have moved several times because he has been promoted and we meet people who have been accustomed to finer things than we have enjoyed. I am not quite sure of how meals should be served or the proper clothes to wear on certain occasions. 1 learn these things by watching other people but isn’t there a quicker way than that? table settings and on the proper way to accept or refuse invitations. But the best way for you to entertain when you meet new people is to do so as simply as possible and with graciousness. A buffet style meal is quite proper in this day and time and most people enjoy a casual occasion rather than one so formal. Prepare as much of your food as possible before hand and do those things that can be done on the day before you have your dinner or party. Try to be relaxed and smiling and 1 am sure your guests will enjoy being in your home. Louisa Address: Louisa, Box 532, Orangeburg, S. C. 29115
