Ruth Stone North Webster Resident Mrs. John (Ruth D. > Stone. 86. North Webster, died in Lakeland Loving Care Center. Milford at 8:45 Wednesday. Oct 26. She had been in failing health for several years. She had resided in North Webster for several years, moving there from Fairmount. A homemaker, she was a member of the North Webster Church of God. She was born in Miami County on August 14. 1897. the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Gilman She married John Stone on April 4, 1920. He survives. Also surviving are one foster daughter. Mrs. Deborah Jer nigan. Marion; two foster grandchildren; and one sister. Mrs. Gladys Camel. California. One brother preceded her in death Services were held Friday at Harris Funeral Home. Syracuse, with graveside services and interment following in the Fairmount Park cemetery. Fairmount. Hallie Longenecker Oswego Resident Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in the Chamness Funeral Home at Warsaw for Hallie H. Longnecker. 79, Oswego, r 2 Leesburg, who died at 2:15 a m. Oct. 21. McFarren was not hospitalized and his hand is healing well.

Mrs. Jack (Janice) Romig of Oswego and Mrs. Albert (Phyllis) Shively of Warsaw; three sons. John W. of Chapman Lake. Warsaw, Jack of San Antonio. Texas, and Joe J. of North Webster; two brothers, Kenneth Hartman of Barbee Lake. Leesburg, and James Hartman of San Antonio. Texas; 13 grandchildren. and 19 greatgrandchildren. Three brothers preceded her in death. Rev. Roy Mickley, pastor of the Oswego Baptist Church, officiated at the services. Burial was in the Oswego cemetery. Martin Stevens Well-Known Artist Martin Stevens. 79, 10111 CR 4 Middlebury, an artist who conducted classes at one time in the Lakeland area, died at 11:30 a m. Thursday, Oct. 27. in his home. He had been in failing health for three months. A native of New York, he was born on June 8, 1904. He married Marjoire Kelley on February 14. 1960. She died cm November 29, 1982. Both Stevens and his wife taught art. He was also an actor, writer and director. Surviving are a daughter,

Koschnick. 23. is a 1983 graduate of Mid America College of Funeral Service. Jeffersonville. The Indianapolis native graduated from Brebeuf High School in 1978 and is presently living in Milford. Syracuse EMS Harriet Wogoman. 81. Syracuse, complained of not feeling well at the station. Syracuse EMS transported her to Goshen Hospital on October 26. The Syracuse EMS was called to the American Legion when Martha Hoppel. 75, Syracuse became ill. She was transported to Goshen Hospital at 10:51 a m. on October 27. October 27, Harold Hays, 57. Richmond, became ill while he was at work at Dana Corp. The Syracuse EMS transported him to Goshen Hospital. Lisa Hunt. 30. Lakeview Apts.. Syracuse, was taken to Kosciusko County Hospital by Syracuse EMS following an accident at Dana Corp, in which her right ankle was pinned beneath a handtruck. The incident occurred on October 29 at 1:31 p. m.
Bazaar to be held November 3 and 4 at the Women's Building, fairgrounds. Warsaw. The annual activity provides the Extension Homemaker Clubs the opportunity to raise money as well as provide the public the opportunity to purchase handmade items. , Club members work all year preparing for the event with many of the craft lessons taught during the year perfected and sold at the bazaar. Items offered for sale will include: toys, pillows, needlework, plants, baked goods, candy and Christmas decoration and gift ideas. Check-in time is Thursday, Nov. 3. from 9 a m. until 1 p.m. and the doors will open to the public from 4 until 8, p.m. The bazaar will reopen Friday, Nov. 4, from 9 a m. until 8 p.m. and pick-up for unsold items is Saturday, Nov. 5, from 9 a m. until 12 noon. Lunch will be sold during the bazaar by the Country Neighbors Extension Homemaker Club. This year's committee for the event is composed of: Dorothea Kurth, chairman; Linda Doll, Helen Sellers, Josephine Hopkins. Marvene Johnson, Joyce Wise, Marie Heckaman, Beulah Goss, Princess Frush, Hendrene Schutt. Myrtle Lee, Jorie Webster, Norma Engelberth, Betty Cotton and Betty Hinton. Nixon on C. First grader gets top Halloween honors
First grader Kim Joyce, daughter of Sharon Joyce of Dewart Lake and Jim Joyce, walked off with top honors when members of the Milford Lions Club, Kiwanis Club. American Legion and American Legion Auxiliary co-sponsored a Halloween Festival at the elementary school Saturday night. Kim was dressed as a hunched back prisoner complete with ball and chain. Dennis Wuthrich served as master of ceremonies. Judges for the event were Margaret Ostendorf. Gwendolyn Dewart and Robert Groves. Other prize winners are as follows: Cartoon characters — Rachel Hurd.
