Ellenora I. I. Pischke and Clarence Young were united in marriage in a double-ring ceremony on Sunday, Aug. 28, in the Syracuse Scout Cabin with Rev. Harlan Steffen officiating. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Pischke, North Webster, and the bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Freddie Young, Ashford, West Va. The bride was given in marriage by her uncle, Jim Hann. She wore a traditional floorlength white gown, net trimmed in lace. She wore a blue flowered gown with flowers in her hair and a corsage the same as the matron of honor’s. Best man was Eli Kauffman, Syracuse and Mike .Hann, Syracuse, served as groomsman. The reception was held at the Scout Cabin immediately after the ceremony with Virgina Hann pouring punch and Wendy Street serving cake. Beth Kauffman played music during the reception. The couple is at home in Cromwell. The bride is a housewife and the bridegroom is an escort driver.

Evening Bridge-0-Rama to open season on September 30
The Lakeland Evening Bridge-O-Rama will officially open with a meeting and bridge cm Friday, Sept. 30, at 7:30 p.m. At that time money will be collected for entry fees and 1983-84 pairings will be distributed. The kick-off will be held at the Beacon Restaurant and dessert and coffee will be served. The Evening Bridge-O-Rama is for area bridge players who enjoy playing bridge, meeting new peo-

The best man was Daryl Hodel of Gridley, 111. Groomsmen were Roger Wiegand, Roanoke, Ill.; Phil Hodel, Roanoke, Ill.; Mike Hohulin, also of Roanoke, Hl.; and Clark Schieler, Milford, brother of the bride. For the ceremony the bride’s mother wore a charcoal gray street-length dress. The bridegroom’s mother chose a rose colored street length dress. The reception was held following the ceremony in the church fellowship hall. The bride is a 1983 graduate of Wawasee High School. The bridegroom, a self-employed farmer, is a 1980 graduate of Roanoke-Benson High School. Following the couple’s wedding trip to Florida, they will be residing in Roanoke, 111.
