Survivors in addition to his wife Dorothy include one daughter, Mrs. Vernon (“Bud”) (Betty) Slabaugh, Syracuse; three grandsons; and one brother, Ralph M. Mollenhour, Tippecanoe. One son proceeded him in death. Funeral services will be held (today) Wednesday, Sept. 7, at 1:30 p.m. in the Harris Funeral Home, Syracuse, with Rev. David Maish officiating. Masonic services were held on Tuesday at 8:30 p.m. Burial will be in the Syracuse cemetery. Items token from cor in Syracuse Duane Welling, Warsaw, reported to authorities that sound equipment and a billfold with a combined value of $223 were taken from his automobile in the parking lot of the Frog Tavern in Syracuse, sometime between 5 p.m. and 12 midnight on Monday.

NAMED ASSISTANT FINANCIAL SECRETARY — Stephen Galegor, Milford, has been named assistant financial secretary of the Grace Brethren Investment Foundation, Winona Lake. He had previously served as accountant for the Grace Brethren Home Missions Council, the parent organization of the GBIF. In his new position, he is responsible for the accounting procedures and other management functions. Galegor has been a staff member of the Grace Brethren Home Missions Council since September, 1982. He is a graduate of Central State University, Edmond, Okla., with a bachelor of arts degree in economics and accounting and is an M. Div. candidate at Grace Theological Seminary, Winona Lake. He and his wife, Chris, have four children, Stephen, Jr.. Kendall, Shanda and Kristen. Mrs. Galegor is employed as a sales representative for Maple Leaf Farms in Milford.

Syracuse EMS The Syracuse EMS was called to the home of Albert Bauer, 71, Lake Street, Syracuse, after he became ill. He was transferred to Goshen Hospital on August 31 at 7:11a.m. Marcie Ruggles, 11, Boston Street, Syracuse, fell on the playground at the elementary school on August 31. She injured her left leg and was transported to Goshen Hospital by the Syracuse EMS. Teri Newcomer, Branch Street, Syracuse, was transported to Goshen Hospital September 5 by the Syracuse EMS after she became ill at her home. • Lisa R. Johnston, two, was transported to Goshen Hospital by the Syracuse EMS on September 6, after she got into her grandmother’s medication. It was not known how much she took. Hershel Bunch, 24, Ohio, and William J. Chapman, 27, Cambridge, were both transported to Goshen Hospital, September 6, by the Syracuse EMS after they were involved in an accident at 11:04 a.m. Bunch complained of pain in his lower lumbar area. Chapman complained of pain in his head and lacerations to legs and left hand. The Syracuse EMS transported two men to Goshen Hospital on September 6, at 4 p.m. after they were involved in an accident. Thomas R. McCann, 20, suffered head injuries after his head hit the windshield and complained of pain in his abdomen. George DeCaire, 47, Arlington Heights, 111., also hit his head on the windshield and suffered lacerations on his chin and elbow.
PCA to hold meeting Don Beer, chairman of the board of directors of the Albion Production Credit Association, has announced the 50th annual stockholders meeting and anniversary celebration will be held in eight sections with the sixth section to be held at Warsaw for Kosciusko County members on Monday. Sept. 12. The meeting will begin with a dinner at 6:30 p.m. and will include the election of an association director to the five-member board, three ambassadors to the six-member committee, and one nominating committee officer. There are two candidates for the opening on the board of directors this year with further nominations being accepted up to the time of election, Don Sellers of Steuben County and Richard Steider of LaGrange County. The membership will hear financial reports from the asociatioh treasurer, Charles Zimmerman; a report on the current farm economy by Will Schieler, Kosciusko County PCA Branch Manager, and comments from Association President Don Monesmith concerning the association’s first 50 years of service and what might be expected in the years ahead. Following the formal presentations all members are invited to attend a reception commemorating the first 50 years of service. Tickets for the dinner are available at the office or from any county ambassador and reservations may be made by calling 267-6851.

Biker runs stop sign, hits auto A bicycle driven by Chad Lauer, r 1 Syracuse, ran a stop sign at the intersection of South Harrison Street and Henry Street in Syracuse Friday, and struck an auto driven by Tanya Swihart, 607 S. Harrison, Syracuse. Lauer suffered abrasions, and was treated by Syracuse EMS members. Damage to the Swihart car which included rubber marks on the left door and a dent in the left front fender, was estimated at S4O.
