Races were divided into age groups and started at intervals The first rider in the 6.6 mile race crossed'the finish line 22 minutes after the start and the first rider in the 13.2 mile race to cross the finish line in 33 minutes. Bill Beemer, race chairman; stated that next year’s race will be a bigger race, distance wise, it is planned to discontinue the 6.6 mife race and go with a 13.2 and a 25-mile or longer course. Worriers begin football cendifioning
Wawasee Head Football Coach Myron Dickerson and his staff have started their annual summer conditioning program for prospective Warrior football players. The sessions are held on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings at the high school from 6-7 p.m.

Coach Dickerson reported that a total of 40 prospective Warriors attended last week’s opening sessions, and added that any current Wawasee High School student with an interest in going out for one of the football squads is invited to attend.
