Richardson, a resident of West Street, is shown with a 12-pound northern pike, measuring 37 » 2 inches in length. He caught the pike using a chub, or large minnow, at 1 p.m. Saturday. He had John Zimmerman with him at the time. On Friday evening he caught a 36-inch northern pike weighing 12 pounds at about dusk on the same lake. This time he had his brother Bill along. these systems also failed to notify their users of the violations. Among those areas cited were Indian Lakes Court, mobile home park, Ligonier; Nappanee Water Utility, Nappanee; and Whispering Pines Mobile Home Park, Leesburg. All were cited for MR (Monitorßeport) which failed to sample and report results to US EPA. Federal regulations require drinking water suppliers to regularly test water for coliform indicator bacteria which come from human and animal wastes. The bacteria may be found in improperly protected drinking water. “If regular monitoring is not conducted, the presence of these disease-producing organisms may go undetected,” explained Valdas V. Adamkus, US EPA Midwest Regional Administrator. Coliform indicator and other bacteria associated with human and animal wastes may affect the gastro-intestional tract of humans. Adamkus said suppliers who continue to violate the coliform standard or fail to sample or notify are subject to federal enforcement action. Concerned citizens should contact their water suppliers or local officials to encourage compliance with federal regulations by cited water systems. w Syracuse ■■■ Trawl Agents Teri Caskey Have you ever been "bumped" from an airline flight even though you had a reservation?
