MORTGAGE BURNING CEREMONY — Twenty years ago the members of the Christian Church of Milford mortgaged the building and property in order to make an addition to the church. Since that time the Christian activities center has been build and a second parsonage was purchased. In late 1982 this indebtedness was paid in full and a special service was held Sunday morning during the worship service to burn the mortgage. From left are Larry Martindale, chairman of the church board; Darrell Ora, chairman of the church's elders and treasurer when the mortgage was paid off: and David Drummond, chairman of the church's finance committee.
