processing was the most popular class for the spring semester of the Adult Education classes Out of the 362 total enrollment for the adult education programs, 163 are enrolled in the introductory computer classes. “Many of the final payments” have been made on the MilfordLakeland Community School Building, Inc., noted Superintendent Don Arnold. All construction costs have been released from escrow and all remaining costs will cover building equipment. A certificate of completion for the Milford Junior High School was signed by board members. Arnold also requested permission to submit a project to the Division of Accreditation and Facility Planning for remodeling and renovation work at Syracuse Junior High School. The project would cost $30,000 and would include: carpeting the library; locker replacement on the first floor of the building; replacing the gymnasium score board and wall mat; and removing a partial petition in the math rooms. In other business. Graduate Equivalency Degree test/certificates were approved for Monica Jernigan. North Webster, and Arlene Bechtold of Syracuse; and a temporary contract for Rosa Lee Pletcher to replace Sharon Wright at Syracuse Elementary from March 7 to June 2 was approved. Charles Koser, Jr., expressed an interest in expanding the math and science program at the junior high level. Arnold noted the corporation had to wait on recommendations from the Department of Public Instruction before any changes could be made. Bill Little, board president, recognized Eve Payne.
