Apparently Mrs. Hollar's claim that few people were able to make the candy successfully has some truth to it. A NAPPANEE woman. transmissions and hydraulic systems of virtually all farm tractors and self-propelled equipment Versatol meets American Petroleum Institute (API) performance requirements for a CD-SF motor oil and GL-5 per formance requirements for transmission-final drive units. It also provides UTH performance in hydraulic transmissions The new lubricant gives performance comparable to Unico Superol 111 Motor Oil, Unico Multi-Purpose GL-5 Gear Oil. Unico 75 Fluid and Unico Hydraulic Oil R & O. It is fully compatible with all lubricants it replaces It is not recommended for two-cycle engines, including Detroit Diesel or engines operating on natural or LP gas. According to Green. Versatol was developed to provide high performance, great convenience and minimum inventory. Because of its wide application to tractors, trucks, self-propelled and other farm equipment, it provides a maximum convenience for farmers who have needed several lubricants for their equipment. Versatol'.s performance capability allows servicing virtually all equipment, in shop or field, frdm a single drum, cutting down investments in Chimney fire extinguished Syracuse Firemen were called to the home of Lloyd Turner, north of the Wawasee Airport, when a chimney caught fire Turner notified the fire depart ment at 1:28 p.m Tuesday, Dec 28 The fire was extinguished with dry chemicals No damage was available

FRB going all-out to stimulate economy
By EDWARD THORLUND The Federal Reserve Board is now going all-out to stimulate the economy, and produce economic recovery. But has this posture come too late? Critics charge the Fed should have acted vigorously in the second and third quarters of last year, lowering interest rates and allowing the money supply to increase. That's what it's now doing. And by then the huge deficit the Reagan Administration is projecting might have begun to push interest rates and inflation up again. That's the critics' view at the outset of 1983. Defenders of the Fed s policy point to a fine

They — and a majority of economists recently polled on the subject by one financial service — expect interest rates to come down a bit more in 1983 (though not much) and economic growth to measure about three per cent. The majority of these z

economists foresaw home mortgage rates dropping another two points. This rate in 1982 lagged behind the lowering prime interest rate, which it traditionally has done. It's expected to get down to 12 per cent in 1983. If it does, home buying and building will possibly boom because of pent-up demand. Present mortgage rates are anywhere from 134 per cent, up or down a bit. and have already stimulated the market.
