Dear Louisa. We are planning to bemarried during the holidays as both my fiance and I have jobs and we thought the time we have off after Christmas would be a good time for a wedding. Now. what I wish to know is this: our church is always beautifully decorated at that season of the year and neither of us have much money to spend on such things. Would it be proper to be married in the use our own my home where we will have a reception for the family and out of town friends? Bride-to-be-Georgia

Following the songs, candle table decorations and three gift certificates from a local grocery store were given away as door prizes The warm glow on the cooks’ faces radiated out to touch all of the senior citizens who were able to attend the noon luncheon in Syracuse.
Answer: Your plan seems to be a very sensible one. It would be foolish if the church is beautifully decorated for you to spend much money on other decorations. Put what flowers you can afford to buy in your own home. But be sure that the color scheme of your wedding party and that of the church decorations harmonize. Louisa.
