Jennie Heckaman was head cook for the three-hour event which included scrambling 30 dozen eggs. Saturday, Dec. 11. The open house began at 6:30 a.m. with a breakfast cooked by Jennie Heckaman and Raymond
Pinkerton. Anyone attending the breakfast was served eggs, three pancakes, sausage and a drink at no charge. Donations towards heating the structure were accepted. Santa Claus was present after the breakfast at 9:30 a.m. until noon for children and parents who wanted to tour the new structure. The community building site is the previous site of the Milford Hotel which was demolished on June 26,1980. Demonstrations for Bethel Women's Fellowship The Bethel Women’s Fellowship met Thursday, Dec. 9, with Bertha Moneyheffer presiding over the business meeting. Donna Fisher demonstrated how to make yeast rolls and Rosetta Miller demonstrated cake decorating using bell shaped cakes. Each person present tried decorating a cupcake and also ate the rolls and cakes as part of refreshments. Sue Price gave devotions and lead Christmas carol singing and prayer.
Members of the Milford Area Development committee, the Lions club, Jaycee, Jayceettes and Kiwanis club members donated efforts towards the breakfast and open house and were appreciative to all community members who attended the breakfast and helped make it a successful event. Jennie Heckaman spearheaded the breakfast which served approximately 200 people. How much can 200 people eat? According to Mrs. Heckaman, 30 dozen eggs, boxes of pancake mix

These items, valued at $55, were taken from a truck.
