Lady Warriors add 3 victories to record; ranked 16th in state

Defeating Tippecanoe Valley. Westview and Concord dun ng the past week the Lady Warriors basketball team from Wawasee were again ranked 16th in the state poll this morning The girls will take their 8-0 record to Manchester Thursday evening where they face the Lady Squires with a 5-1 record. Coach Dale Brannock sgid Manchester is "a good team and being their home floor the Lady Squires will have some advantage On Monday the girls will travel to North Wot>d Scores of this weeks games showed the Concord game was the close of the season with the Lady Warriors winning by nine. 49-40 They defeated Tippe Valley 53-28 and West view 82-19. VS Tippe Valley The girls did not play their best during the first quarter last night at Tippe Valley. but picked up in the second period to lead 29-8 at halftime The second period proved to be tie best tor the Lady Warriors as they scored 10 points during the first period. 19 in the second. 11 in the third and 13 in the final quarter

Vs Westview Grace Stichter led the scoring at Westview on Saturday as she hit for 16 points. Maude Packer scored 12 and Dee Stump and Anita Swope each scored 10 as the Ladv Warriors defeated their hosts 82-19 Wawasee outrebounded Westview 51-22.
