'Children Os War' topic of program at club meeting The Wednesday Afternoon Club met in the home of Mrs. Lionel Bates, Syracuse, on November 17. Margaret Freeman was the assistant hostess. Mrs. Dean Pittman was in charge of the program. Her subject was “Children Os War.” Using articles and pictures from news magazines and newspapers, in which children in Israel, a Cambodia. Viet Nam, Lebanon and Palestinian camps were visited and interviewed Mrs. Pittman concluded that children showed patience with things as they are. optimistic for a brighter future She reported the children were against revenge, and had said, "What good is revenge It only makes war go on and on.” They felt that people should be trained to be good One is led to believe that these children who have suffered so much and seen so much understand God better than adults.
