! ROCK CHURCH PROCLAIMS By SARAH M. TI TTLE a GOD'S WORD SAYS ... “In everything give thanks for this is | the will of God"... At this season of Thanksgiving we turn our hearts and minds " to how blessed we are. We have much in this country especially. | to be thankful for. Too often, people complain and worry about I how hard things are. and look at the difficult situations in their = lives when in reality we truly are a blessed people. And Rock I Church proclaims to you that God has always cared for His ! people — even in the wilderness. (The Children of Israel were | fed by God for to years in the wilderness with manna from | heaven — Exodus 18) So even if you feel like you are in a 9 wildemess (and your wilderness can be in many forms) know I that God is there to comfort you. heal and deliver, and to provide X for ail your needs. First take your eyes off your problem and look to Jesus and j give thanks to Him. I Thessalonians 5:18 says — “give thanks in I all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” Then put God first. Proverbs 3:8. N says “Honor the Lord I withthy substance, and with the Hrstfnits of all thine increase; X So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall I burst out with new wine.” Rock Church proclaims “Thanksgiving” everyday in f everyway — and we ask you to join with ns In declaring Psalm | 118:1 — “O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good; because I His mercy endureth forever." WASHINGTON. D. C - Pittsburgh missed, last year, being number one when they fell to Penn State's alwaysgood Lions. Joe Paternb. then, derailed the 1981Panthers. This year’s clash between the two Pennsylvania powers will therefore be a national contest, in a sense, and could well decide the question who is number-one in college football in 1982. The game is played November 26. The Penn State-Pitt go in 1981 was a surprising contest. This writer watched the first fifteen minutes on TV. Pittsburgh was doing everything right. The team seemed irresistible. After

Pitt had scored a couple of quick touchdowns, the conclusion was. wrongly, that the Panthers were in. Next morning the shock came. Penn State had not only come back but the Lions had come back with a vengeance and had dominated the remainder of the game. The Panthers are out for number-one again this year. They certainly remember November. 1981. That’s one reason the game on November 26 will be supercharged. Penn State had a lapse against Alabama earlier this season but these things happen in college play; either team could win.
