returning letterman this year, among them are two returning sectional champs, Michael Hernandez and Todd Reiff. The other four lettermen who will be with the team are Chuck Cotton, David Melendez, Jim Cramsie and Tim Fraser. “The team lost four wrestlers from last year,” said Welborn, “Pat Morgan thaler, Jeff Glon, John Stuckman and Gary Gerencser." This year’s team has only two seniors. Wrestle-offs later in the season will tell the story of what wrestler will represent the various weight classes on the varsity team. Several weight classes are quite full and the decision will be dose. There are 11 freshmen out for the wrestling team, which according to the coach, is very encouraging. An exciting addition to the wrestling schedule is the two-day Mishawaka Invitational tournament, which will be held during Christmas vacation. This will give the team an opportunity to meet some very strong competition. This year Wawasee will be hosting an invitational tournament for high school teams. The Wawasee Invitational is set for December 18, and will be attended by several area high school teams. Presently at 98-pounds are Troy Watson and Dwayne Turner. both freshmen. Junior, Chuck Cotton, is at 10S. The impound class also presently has only one wrestler, freshman. Jeff Dunithan. The lib-pound class has three wrestlers, freshman. Brad Tra viola; and juniors. Ron Martin and Rob DeSomer. Presently at 126, are freshmen, Elias Hernandez, Darrell Ruch and Gilbert Rico; junior, David Melendez; and senior. Juan Roa. Michael Hernandez, a junior, is the only wrestler presently weighing in at 132. Sophomore, Steve Yoder, is presently at 138,
with junior, Jason Keim, and freshmen, Lance Lantz and Marc Greene at 145. At 155, are two freshmen, Don Kauffman and Ned Hunsberger.
