doi GREG MISHLER, 35, a Bremen Republican, won his bid for the state legislature last Tuesday in district 22. This district includes parts of Marshall, Wabash and Kosciusko Counties. Even though Misher will not serve the citizens of the Milford area, many had an eye on his political campaign. Greg is the sen of Wade Mishler and is a IMS graduate of Milford High School. Greg served as president of the Milford Alumni Association this past year and did an outstanding job. He is a well organized businessman and should make a good state representative. He received a total of 8,817 votes while his opponent Leland Beery received 8.296 votes, giving Mishler a pure 11 ty of 521 votes. ANOTHER FORMER resident wasn’t so fortunate, however, in the November 2 election. Kathryn Kaiser of Etna Green lost her bid for Etna Township Trustee to incumbent Republican Robert White. White received 204 votes to 152 for Mrs Kaiser. I She is the former Kathryn Bretherick and is also a MHS graduate.

WE KEEP hearing the question November! Who needs it? It would seem about this time of year many of us feel as if we are entering a tunnel. November is bleak. Or as the writer Rex Redifer put it: “Times change, but winter is infernally eternal. Most of us hate it — the slush and the slop and the slide and the sludge. Few things in this world are more depressing than used snow. We wage war on winter from November through March.” AND. SPEAKING of snow, the

area received its first snowfall of the season last Thursday and Friday. On Thursday some snow was seen by a few people outside as it fell to the pound. On Friday there was no doubt, even those inside could look out and tell that it was snowing. As with the first snowfall of any season last Friday’s snow didn’t stay on the ground long and wanner temperatures this week have kept the snows away. WE STILL don’t have specific information on the new business which will be located where Steve’s Barber Shop was. However, a new front has been put on the building and it’s really starting to show some hard work. HAVE YOU noticed the new sign at the Upper Crust? IF YOU are looking for

According to Mrs. Hoppus' brother, Willianr Leemon, Milford, a down payment has been made by the Hoppuses but the final paperwork is still unfinished. Leemon stated his sister and brother-in-law will possibly be moving to Milford when the deal is completed. Martha Anglin’s home was
