I LOUISA'S letter
Dear Louisa. Four of us went on a trip a few weeks ago and it should have been a relaxing experience for all of us as we seldom get away from home. But it was spoiled by one of the women who talked so much. She kept up a continual monologue about the most trivial affairs that held very little interest for the other three. She must have said "I said, or she said” hundreds of times. It was hard to get in a word w hile she talked of what she had put up with from relatives and friends. She also dwelt at length on the ailments she or some of her friends had suffered. How can a person like that be told that she is boring her friends and spoiling a trip for other people? I hate to hurt her feelings as she has lots of other good qualities. Friend--Ala. Answer: I think these are people who are compulsive talkers. They are nervous people and seem to think that they have to entertain the rest of the crowd. Perhaps if you let her read this letter it may slow

up her conversation. Louisa. Dear Louisa. I have a. little boy who asks questions all day long and some of them seem veryfoolish. Do all children do this? Mother-Colo. Answer: The only way a child can learn is to ask questions. So many things and words that, adults take for granted are puzzles to children. I had my grandchild ask me what loud meant. Then when 1 mentioned a loaf of bread he asked what a loaf w as. When I explained he said oh. that is a package of bread. Simple words but they were unusual for him. So be patient and explain just don’t answer by saying "Why you know what that is” as that will make him hesitate to inquire about things he doesn't understand. Louisa. Jayceettes plan November bazaar
The Milford Jayceettes met October 25 at 7 p.m. in the home of Becky Hamilton. Plans were made for the Christmas Bazaar by the 10 members and one guest who were present. A correction was made in the reading of the last month’s minutes, stating correctly that a total of 9242 was collected from the Bike-a-thon for the Tonda and Lisa Fund. The Christmas Bazaar, which will be held on Saturday, Dec. 4, from 9 a.m.-12 noon in the Milford Community Building, was discussed and final plans were made. The bazaar will be known as “Children’s Wonderland” and proceeds from the event will be used in three areas. First will be to help the “Toys for Tots”
program sponsored by the Milford Jaycees. Funds will also be used to aid in the children’s Christmas party at the Milford Public Library. A gift for the Milford Community Building will be purchased with another part of the monies raised from the bazaar. An added feature this year will be pictures taken with Santa Claus for a minimal charge for each picture. Members are reminded to note the changes for the regular November meeting, which will begin at 6:30 p.m. and will be held in the Milford Junior High School home economics room. At the November meeting the Jayceettes will be pricing the bazaar items and baking cookies for the “Children’s Wonderland.”
