| LOUISA’S . LETTER
Dear Louisa, My brother is a politician and won an election this year in a rather bitter campaign. Now this man's family and I have always been friends but we have not had anything to do with each other since the election. This makes me very sad as one of his sisters and 1 have been rather close ever since we were in school together. What do you think 1 should do? Do you think it would be disloyal to my brother if I should call her and ask her to come over for a visit. The. only things that were brought up in the campaign by the candidates were local issues. Please advise me. R.D.-Ariz. Answer: It's hard to keep personal feeling from entering in a political campaign but when the votes are in one may as well forget the unpleasant

things that have been said, for the truth of the matter is this: that two people who fight furiously in one election may be on the same side two or three years from then. 1 remember so well a year in which one of my relatives was running for office and with what suspicion we viewed the people who were fighting him. Several years later they were on the same side with him fighting some one else, all of which left me somewhat confused. But it taught me one thing and it was this--not to let a campaign cause me to break off friendly relations with the people I had always liked. y Addreea: Louha, Baa Oraagobarg, S. C. 29115

Cosmetologists answer questions
Cosmetologists throe jhout the United States are trained and licensed to answer the public’s grooming, hair and beauty care questions, says the National Hairdressers and Cosmetologists Association "There is no better time to take advantage of the licensed cosmetologist's and men's stylist’s training and background than during National Cosmetology Week, which is scheduled for October 3 through 9,” said NHCA president Alexander Nweeia. During this designated week, cosmetologists throughout the country are inviting the public to come into their salons and ask them specific grooming and Junior Moms have carry-in The Junior Mothers' Chib of Syracuse began its 1982-83 club year on September 20 with a carry-in dinner at the home of Vera Hall. beauty care questions. “If members of the public do not come into the salon, they will never know of the vast amount of grooming and beauty care knowledge that today’s trained and licensed cosmetologists have,*’ Nweeia said. National Cosmetology Week is designed to provide information on the cosmetologist’s knowledge to the public. Cosmetologists throughout the country are conducting informative interviews on radio and television and providing grooming and beauty care information for articles in newspapers throughout the country. “To survive in today’s competitive personal care market, cosmetologists must be as formed and knowledgeable'' as possible of the needs and concerns of today’s client. Cosmetologists are no longer trained for one specific service. Today they are trained to provide complete hair care, skin care, beauty care and fashion advice for the male, female and today's young client.” Nweeia said. Affiliate organizations of the NHCA are conducting com-munity-wide programs in affiliate areas throughout the United States during National Cosmetology Week.
