Readers will recall highlights and insights of that tour were reported in this paper that year. gy* IN MADRID — Dr. Max A. Laudeman. sen of Mr. and Mrs. Robert L. Laudeman, IM North Shore Drive, Syracuse, left Friday for Madrid, Spain, to assume a pest as instructor at the United States Afar Force Base. Dr. Laudeman was selected to teach finance and accounting for 12 months under the auspices of Troy State University, Troy, Ata., which homes the Smell School of Business and Commerce. Each year the school recruits outstanding professors for 12-month assignments in Europe. Troy State University’s European region operates under contract with the US Air Force to provide graduate education to service men and women. Dr. Laudeman Is currently employed by Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo. and has taught there far the past seven years. He was granted a ene-year leave of absence to teach at Mafeid. And he will be teaching at air force bases in Spain. Germany, Italy and England during the year. He was accompanied by his wife, Janet, and five-year-old son. Brian. The Laudemans plan to return to Kalamazoo hi August 1883. Walker auto rams into parked car Local police officers investigated an' accident on Kober Road east of CR 85QE recently when a car driven by Daniel J. Walker, r 3 Syracuse, failed to negotiate a curve and struck a parked car. The parted car, owned by Larry E. Gilliland, r 2 Syracuse, sustained between SI,OOO and $2,500 damage. Police reported a damage estimate between SI,OOO to to the Walker auto.

Syracuse Police have investigated the following incidence recently: \ On August 22, at 8:45 p.m., Larry Kelley, 2220 North Third Street, Lafayette, reported to Syracuse Police that when he got to his home, after being in the area for a fishing tournament, he discovered that four rods and reels were missing from his boat. r mother that the money tfks I missing. t Gerald Rouch, r 3 Ligonier, - called Syracuse Police on August > 24 at 2:39 p.m. to report that on August 19 at the Sea Nymph parking lot or at the Liquor Locker, Syracuse, the tool box i had been taken from his truck. He stated that his truck was parked at Sea Nymph during* i work and then he went into the Liquor Locker for a few minutes. When he got home be noticed that the tool box was gone. He talked to an officer on August 20. Rouch gave police a description of the missing property and value was estimated at $350.
