Brenda Sue Catt. Indianapolis, and Ralph V. Reiff, Indianapolis, were married June 19 at University Heights United Methodist Church, Indianapolis The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Howard J. Catt, Indianapolis. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Reiff, Barbee Lake,.are parents of the bridegroom The double-ring ceremony was performed by Dr. Gene E. Sease and Dr. Charles Stanton. The altar was decorated with candelabra. palms and'bouquets of yellow mums and white daisies. Music was provided by Mark McCreary, organist and Mr. and Mrs. Richard Wright, sister and-brotherrin-law of the bride, vocalist The bride, given in marriage by her father, was attired in a floor-length gown of white Chantilly and Aniecon lace with accents of white satin ribbon. It was styled with ruffled yoke, empire waist line, high ruffled Victorian neckline and long belled sleeves. The tiered skirt of layered lace was fashioned with ruffles and a chapel-length train. Her fingertip veil of bridal illusion was secured by a floral wreath of yellow and white roses and daisy silk flowers. She carried a nosegay of silk flowers made from yellow and white roses and daisies. Rhonda Claeys. Indianapolis, was matron of honor She wore a floor-length gown of yellow calico with short puffed sleeves. The scoop neckline was accented with a ruffle Her gathered skirt featured a wide ruffle at the hemline She carried a nosegay of fresh daisies and roses in shades of yellow and white Bridesmaids were Sharon Brown. Indianapolis; Debbie Danner, sister of the bride, Indianapolis; Terry Larr, cousin of the bride, Valparaiso; and Nancy Wright, sister of the tride. Syracuse, win be honored by their children and grandchildren far their 50th wedding anniversary at an open bouse Sunday. July 18. at 2 p.m. at the lodge at Quaker Haven Camp. Friends and relatives are invited. The camp is located on the east side of Dewart Lake. The couple requests no gifts. The reception will last until 5 p.m. The couple was married on July 18. 1932. and they have lived at Quaker Haven for IS years. They have three children: Donna Althouse. a minister’s wife from Marysville. Ohio: Mary Clark of Frankton, who. with her husband, travels with a gospel music group called the Celebration Singers: and son. Steven, who also lives at Frankton. The couple has nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

It was fashioned with empire waist line, accordian pleated skirt and elbow-length capelette sleeves. Her corsage was made of green tinted daisies and yellow roses. The bridegrooms mother selected a floor-length gown of pale blue taffeta with full length overlay of organza and elbowlength capelette. She wore a corsage of yellow roses and blue tinted daisies. Immediately following the ceremony a reception was held at Valle Vista Country Club. Greenwood The serving table was centered by a three-tiered wedding cake with the layers supported by pillars. It was decorated with yellow and white flowers There were four heart shaped cakes surrounding the tiered cake. Floral arrangements from the altar were used to highlight the reception table The bride graduated from Indiana Central University with a degree in elementary education. The bridegroom graduated from Indiana Central University and Miami University, Oxford. Ohio. He is employed as head athletic trainer at Butler University. Indianapolis. Following a wedding trip to Mackinac Island the couple will reside in Indianapolis

Jill Carol Grindle. 207 Lake Street, Syracuse, became the bride of Kevin Allen, Knox, at 2 pm Saturday, July 10, at the Cromwell United Methodist Church, in a double-ring ceremony. The bride is the daughter erf Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Grindle, 207 North Lake Street. Syracuse, and the bridegroom is the son of Rev. and Mrs. Daniel Allen, Knox. Rev. Daniel Allen and Rev. Dexter Garman performed the ceremony. The altar was decorated with candelabras with peach colored candles Mrs. Arthur Iden, organist, and the bridegroom's sister, Mrs. Kimberly Henry, provided the music. The bride was given in marriage by her father The bride was attended by Miss Jan Grindle, her sister, from Springfield, 111., as maid of honor. The bridesmaid was Teresa Freshe. Urbana. Best man was Andrew Clark, Indianapolis, and Scott Fischer. Dale, acted as groomsman. The bride’s niece, Amie Koontz. New Lenox, 111, was flower girl. Keith Allen, the bridegroom s brother, Knox, and Pat Roos. Dale, served as ushers The bride’s gown was sheer polyester chiffon lined with taffeta, with a Queen, Ann neckline and lace appliques over the bodice. Lace border the long sleeves and bottom of the skirt, which had a chapel-length train. Her floor-length veil had a head piece made of a cluster of flowers composed of lace petals and simulated pearls. Flowers carried by the bride were in a traditional bouquet with white mums and large peach spider mums. The maid of honor and bridesmaid wore long peachcolored gowns They had baby’s breath in their hair, and carried bouquets of sweetheart roses. The bride’s mother wore an antique white street-length dress with long sheer sleeves. The bridegroom's mother wore a lavender street-length dress with long sleeves and a full pleated shirt. Their corsages were roses with hlly of the valley. A reception followed the ceremony in the church fellowship hall. Silver candle holders with peach candles were used for decoration. Servers were Katherine Hibschman, who made the cake and served it; Carmie Speakman; Melody Miller; and Brenda Iden.
The bride is a 1978 graduate of Wawasee High School and the bridegroom is a graduate of Knox High School. Both are students ofIndiana State University at Terre Haute, where they reside. Lisa Kaiser wins district speech contest Lisa Kaiser, r 2 Milford, was among ten 4-H members competing in the district speech and demonstration contest last Wednesday, July 7, at the Morgan Township High School in Porter County. “4-H Pathways to the Future” was the title of Lisa’s speech winning her first with honor in the junior division. She is a member of the Successful 4-H’ers and also represented the Creative 4-H Club. The 10 members attending earned the right to compete by winning on the local level at Warsaw. Lisa is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Kaiser of Milford. Baby photo contest announced The Kosciusko County Right to Life is sponsoring a “Special Baby” photo contest to be held at their 4-H fair booth. The winner will be determined by accumulation of the most one cent votes. A savings bond, a Kodak instamatic camera outfit phis free photo processing from Blossers and a gift certificate from Kangaroo Pouch are the respective first, second and third place prizes. Entry rules are: 1. A small entry fee for each photo entered 2. A seif addressed, stamped envelope for returning photos 3. Photos must be no larger than three inches by five inches 4. All entries must be born on or since August 1,1980 5. Photos must be received by July 24,1982 All entries should be mailed to Kosciusko County Right to Life, P.O. Box 1162 Warsaw, Ind., 46580.
