LIST OF VETERANS — Robert Brown, Milford, points to the name of his grandfather, George Brown, who served during World War 1 on the marker which stands at the corner of Catherine and Main Streets in Milford. This marker was erected in 1927 by members of the American Legion Ancil Geiger Post 226 in commemoration of those who served. The stone has also served as a challenge to Milford youngsters as they grow tall enough to climb on top of the stone. Each year on Memorial Day Brown reads the list of those veterans who have died and the list includes names from veterans from the Civil War through the Viet Nam Police Action. (Photo by Deb Fox >
