UTS files petition for reclassification

United Telephone Company of Indiana, with headquarters in Warsaw, has filed a petition with the Public Service Commission of Indiana requesting reclassification of six exchanges that have outgrown their rate groups According to C.L Williams, manager of the Warsaw district, the action was taken to maintain a non discriminatory rate structure in exchanges of equal size Leesburg is the only town affected in Kosciusko County. Other Indiana towns include Geneva. Howe, Mongo. Twelve Mile and Wolcottville Rate changes would become effective upon approval of the

The Mail-Journal Employee Deb Weise Deb Wrise is a typesetter at The Papers Incorporated’s printing plant in Milford. She works on news items, classifieds, display ads and job work. She was bom in Bremen and has worked in Milford for about 14 years. Prior to becoming a typesetter she attended secretarial school and worked as a rental agent at Carriage House in Elkhart, as a clerk-typist at Switches in Goshen, as an executive secretary at Commodore's Corporate Offices in Syracuse and as a visual aid for Dr. Thomas Lantz in Goshen. She and her husband. Charles, and young daughter. Stephanie, reside in New Paris. Deb has lived in New Paris all her life. She enjoys stock car races, movies, her cat Tony, i reading, tole painting, sewing and bowling with her number one hobby being ceramics.

United Way reviewing requests for assistance

Members of the Budget and Admissions Committee of the United Way of Kosciusko County. Inc., are meeting this week to review requests for financial assistance for the coming year. These requests, if granted for the 1982-83 year, will completely, or partially, fund the services of 21 different agencies. Members of the committee are David Grant. Warsaw; Pat Oppenheim. Leesburg; Jeff Plank. Warsaw; Fred W. Anglin. Leesburg; and Marilyn Prout. Warsaw. According to H. G. (Gus) Sideris. president of the United Way, “We are fortunate to have the five volunteers who served on the committee last year returning again this year. Os the five people serving, three have financial backgrounds, the fourth is a Warsaw councilman and the fifth person has had extensive experience in community service work and has served on her church budget committee '' Grant, chairman of the committee. is also a United Wayboard member Formerly the treasurer of the United Way. he is currently serving as the group's vice president The purpose of the committee, in addition to recommending specific amounts for each agency, is to review the overall Beer's bull selected in sire program Freven S-W-D Hoosier-Et from the herd of Fredric R Beer. Inc. announced that Gayl W Doster, treasurer and chief financial officer, has been given the additional title of vice president. The action was taken at the directors' meeting May 11. according to J. Douglas Reeves, chairman and president. Doster joined Hook's in March 1981 after serving as secretarytreasurer for Haag Drugs since 1972. He is a 1960 graduate of Indiana University and a certified public accountant. He is also a member of the board of directors for the Indiana Certified Public Accountant Society and serves as their treasurer. Doster «is a member of the board of directors for the Indiana Society to Prevent Blindness and has served as their president and treasurer.
