High staff raised $1,488.15 for the community building at the fish fry on Saturday night They served 666 pounds of fish and 60 pounds of potato chips to 954 people Staff members enlisted spouses, children and friends to assist in the event. Both students and seniors thoroughly enjoyed the outing and concert and program were rated highly successful. Syracuse men booked at jail There were two Syracuse residents booked at the Kosciusko County Jail recently. Timothy Allen Dilley. 19. Entries received for 37th Mermaid Festival
Charles Parker, chairman of the Mermaid Festival in North Webster has received several entries for the 37th annual Mermaid Festival Parade scheduled for Saturday. June 26. at 4 p.m. Bands entered, so far, are Wawasee High School, North Webster Junior High. Columbia City High School and Knox High School. Syracuse man hurt in mishap Lloyd Kammerdiener. 48, 301 N. Harrison St., Syracuse, driver of a 1977 Chevrolet station wagon, was admitted to Goshen Hospital following a one-vehicle accident. Kammerdiener suffered six broken ribs, lacerations, bruises and pulmonary infection He is in room 211 The mishap occurred Thursday morning, May 13, on US 33 at the curve at CR 42. Kammerdiener was driving north on US 33 and was approaching the curve at CR 42 when his auto veered across the centerline, left the west side of the highway, hitting a mailbox and fence. The auto continued out of control, rolling over a number of times and coming to a stop on the east-west runway of Goshen Airport. Investigating the accident was Elkhart County Sheriff's Cpl. Tom Snider Hit and run reported Milford Police are investigating a report of a hit and run accident at- 305 N. Main Street. Milford. Friday evening. May 14. at 8:40 p.m. Police stated Mitchell Gravenstuck reported his auto was struck by a blue van which backed into the left front quarter panel of his auto while parked along Main Street Damage was estimated at $75.

Clark, 18, r 1 Leesburg, was not injured when he tried to avoid an accident Monday, May 17. According to police Clark was driving a motorcycle around a curve on Armstrong Road west of CR 375 when a car approached him without its lights on Clark sped up to avoid an accident and ended up in a ditch on the side of the road.
