LEGALS ORDINANCE NUMBER «2J AN ORDINANCE CHANGING. DIVID ING ANO ESTABLISHING CERTAIN ELECTION PRECINCT BOUNDARIES WITHIN THE COUNTY OF KOSCIUSKO WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of the several counties of the State of Indiana have the sole and exclusive right and power to create election precincts and define their boundaries within their respective counties and the cities and towns located therein, and WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of Warsaw has. pursuant to law and by appropriate Ordinance, divided theT City of Warsaw into five (5) districts wards; WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of the County of Kosciusko has determined that it will be necessary to eliminate all existing election precinct boundaries and to establish new eleclion precinct boundaries withfn the City of Warsaw and define their boundaries. NOW. THEREFORE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE COUNTY OF KOSCIUSKO COUNTY. INDIANA, as follows Section 1. That all existing election precinct boundaries within the city limits of the City of Warsaw be and they are hereby deleted and in lieu thereof the election precinct boundaries as next set forth in Sections 2 through 6 hereof be and they are hereby declared to be the election precinct boundaries within the City of Warsaw. I fig PRINCIPAL SPEAKER FOR KIWANIS - Dr. Howard J. Hull. Jr., center, principal of Wawasee High School, was guest speaker for Kiwanis Club of Lakeland. North Webster on Monday, March 1. Dr. Hull received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees as well as his docturate at Indiana University. He served as assistant principal at Elkhart Central High School before coming to Wawasee. The new principal pointed out that the chief purpose of schools formerly was to teach reading, writing and arithmetic. However, today the functions of the schools include many other areas such as safety, health, driver education, preparation for jobs, music, working with handicapped and political understanding. Dr-. Hull stressed the need for good discipline for high school to be effective in the training of students. He emphasized that suspension would be used if necessary for orderly operation of the school. He brought out the importance of keeping lines of communication open with people of the community. He said. “The principal’s door will always be open.’’ In the business session. The Giris Scouts. Brownies and Cub Scouts of North Webster are planning a Saint Patrick's Day Carnival Wednesday. March 17. from 6:30to8:30 p.m at Camelot Hall in North Webster Activities include games, face painting, fortune telling, book sales, engraving booth and refreshments All proceeds will go to the North Webster Tippecanoe Township Library. Mishawaka teen injured A Mishawaka teen was injured in a two vehicle accident at 11.30 a m Tuesday. March 2. threefourths of a mile north of Milford on SR 15. Clifton Johnson, 17. Mishawaka, was taken by Milford ambulance to Goshen Hospital where he was treated and released for facial lacerations The mishap occurred when Johnson could not slow down for a slowing vehicle in front of him. According to Indiana State Police Johnson was northbound on SR 15 when the vehicle in front of him. a 1981 Ford pickup truck driven by Jerry Yetter. 24. r 5 Warsaw, slowed for a right turn. Johnson told police he applied his brakes but could not avoid striking the Yeiter vehicle. Damage was estimated at $2,500 to the 1975 Oldsmobile driven by Johnson and S4OO to Yetter’s pickup truck.
