Merrill Naylor Tax Accountant For Internal Revenue Service Merrill Naylor, 78. 107 South Line St.. South Whitley, father of Bruce Naylor, r 1 North Webster, died at 2 a.m. Thursday, Feb. U, in the home of his daughter. Mrs. Maurice (Marilyn J) Scheffler. 201 South Maple St.. North Manchester. He had been failing in health since last August. Naylor was born in Tipton County on August 4. 1903, to Loren and Jessie (Kennedy) Naylor. On December 6. 1934, he married the former Ellouise Schoenhauer in Fort Wayne She survives He had worked for the Internal Revenue Service and the Indiana Department of Revenue as a public tax accountant. He was a partner with his son. Gene, in the Naylor and Naylor Certified Public Accountants, South Whitley, and served in the US Army In addition to his wife and son. other survivors include: one son. , Gene, 306 West Wayne St, South Whitley; one daughter. Syracuse, died at 5:27 a.m. Friday, Feb. 12, in Kosciusko Community Hospital of complications from a heart condition. He was born in Belgium on November 20. 1901, and came to this area 11 years ago from Oak Forest, 111. He was married in April 1939 to Anna Rago in Crown Point. She survives. Batesla was a retired railroad clerk and a member of the Roseland Moose Lodge and Sacred Heart Catholic Church’. Warsaw. Additional survivors include three daughters. Borden is a former Goshen resident and has lived in Syracuse for the past 20 years. He sold his interest in the sanitation service seven years ago. A World War II veteran. Death was due to complications of an extended illness. He was born in Eubank, Perry County, Ky., on March 9,1916. to Harvey Dean and Sara Elizabeth (Cress) Hall. On December 29, 1939. he was married to Marjorie Maxine Cory. She died on October 30. 1981. A resident of the North Webster area for many years and had worked with Liberty Coach and Commodore Homes, Syracuse. Survivors include six daughters Frances J. Hammon. Syracuse. Ml TEENS INJURED — Lori Campbell, 19, Delphi, and Clay A. Bowhian. 19, Syracuse, were treated and released from Goshen Hospital following a two-vehicle accident, Thursday. Feb. 11, at 8:98 p.m. Miss Campbell complained of a headache and sustained mouth injuries and Bowman complained of a beadache and neck pain. The accident occurred on East Catherine Street. Milford, at the Curt Bradley residence. According to Milford Marshal David Hobbs the 1979 Chevy Chevette operated by Miss Campbell was westbound on Catherine Street when struck by a wrecker operated by Gary Miller, 36, Milford. Miller was eastbound on Catherine Street when be tried to move the wrecker, equipped with a snow plow, to the right The track hit the rats in the road, throwing the rear of the vehicle around into the path of Miss Campbell’s auto. / Damage was estimated at SIM to Miller's wrecker and up to $2,590 to Miss Campbell's auto. Milford EMS Milford Emergency Medical Service personnel responded to five c/Us this past week, transporting six. patients to area hospitals. On Wednesday, Feb. 10, the EMS transported a 19-year-old man with a possible back injury to Kosciusko Community Hospital. The EMS responded to an accident in which they transported a 19-year-old man with ? neck and head injuries and a 19-year-old woman with head and knee injuries. Both were taken to Goshen Hospital. An 84-year-old man was taken to Goshen Hospital after falling on Saturday. Feb. 13. On Sunday, Feb. 14, a 65-year-old man was taken to Goshen Hospital after suffering difficulty in breathing. An 83-year-old woman was taken to Goshen Hospital after falling and fainting on Monday, Feb. 15. Syracuse EMS The Syracuse Emergency Medical Service has responded to the following call: On February 11 at 6:31 p.m., the EMS was called to the home of Steven Howard Kiser, 30, 113 East Shore Drive, Syracuse, by Kiser’s wife. He had fallen on the ice and broken his right leg. The EMS applied an air splint and transported the patient to Goshen Hospital. The Syracuse EMS was called to the home of Eugene Borden, 66, r 3 Syracuse at 2:21 am. February 15. Borden had become ill at his home and wis transported to Goshen Hospital.
