Oct 3 According to the fire report the fire alarm in the Highland View home went off. Fire officials checked the house completely and found no fire. It has not been determined why the alarm was activated. Leesburg man injured Stephen H. Locke. 33. r 2 Leesburg was treated and released at the Goshen Hospital fol lowing an early morning accident Monday. Oct. 5, on CR 1350 N, west of SR 15. at the north edge of Milford He sustained three broken ribs on the left side and bruises and abrasions on the left forearm, elbow and right knee According to Indiana State Police. Locke was westbound in a van when James E Lucas. 32. Delphi, driving a semi-tractor trailer, pulled m front of him from the Ralston-Purina Feed Mill Lucas said he did not see the van coming. Lucas, who was also treated and released at Goshen Hospital, recaved multiple contusions to the head and superficial lacerations to the head, neck and right knee Damage to the Locke van was approximately $1,500, while the cab of the Lucas vehicle sustained approximately $3,000 damage The accident is still under investigation Assisting the Indiana State Police were Kosciusko County Police Milford Emergency Medical Service transported the patients to the hospital. Break-in at Premiere Corp. Pennington arraigned Kohler Pennington. 24, 23531 Forestview. Elkhart, appeared in Elkhart Circuit Court Thursday, Oct. 1. for preliminary arraignment on charges of reckless homicide and causing a death while driving under the influence of intoxicating liquor Both charges are Class D felonies. Pennington was involved in a two-car collision on September 23 at US € and CR 29, two miles northwest of Syracuse A Wakarusa carrier for the paper,’ Arnold Yoder. 48. Bremen, died in the collision and his wife and five children were injured. A passenger in Pennington s auto was also hurt Pennington’s attorney requested a one-week continuance for arraignment and also asked to have bond reduction hearing at the same time.
