The Creative Arts Club from Syracuse Junior High held its second annual Sand Sculpture Contest. Saturday. Members of the NHS must have a 3.5 grade point average to be eligible scholastically to be considered for membership The faculty then votes on students acceptance on the basis of leadership, service and character. Those inducted included: Senior — Scott Parker Juniors — Steve Alford, Ross Dahlstrom, William Dixon, Krista Everts, Sandra Hernandez, Gina Hurd. Lori Keim, Rosalie Rouch. Robert Schutt, Carrie Shoemaker, Teresa Smith. Scott Stutzman, Mary Walgamuth and Jennifer Wozniak. Officers for the 1981-1982 school year will be: President — Lori Staley Vice president — Brian Brannock Secretary — Shell Miller Treasurer — Susie Schmucker Faculty sponsors are Philip Fawley and Stanley Grabowicz. The dubs main activity is sponsoring the annual Christmas Penny Pitch, at which time all classes^give money for groceries for needy families in the Lakeland School Community area.

ORIGAMI MOBILES — Students in Martha Pittman’s reading class at Milford Elementary School made origami mobiles. Origami is the Japanese art of paper folding. The mobiles depict a book the class read.
