On Friday evening. Aug. 21. the Warriors will lake on Ply mouth in the second quarter action and Northridge in the third quarter action at the North Wood Jamboree. The game will start at 7:30p.m. . Head football coach Myron Dickerson stated he has 62 players dressed out for practice which is the best turnout in six to seven years. “I’m pleased with what is here.” commented Dickerson. Last year the Warriors had 48 players. English Nationals to play Tuskers
A team of tounng English Nationals will provide the opening basketball competition for the Tuskers of Indiana University-Purdue University at Wayne The game will be piayed at 'IPFW s new Athletic Center at 8 p m , November 17. SOAP GAME TONIGHT Members of the Wawasee High School football team will play in an inter-squad soap game at the Wawasee football field tonight (Wednesday). Game time is slated for 7 p.m. Admission to the game will be one bar of soap or 11. A photo session will follow. Is it ripe? Jamboree Friday
The Wawasee Warriors will participate in a pre-season football jamboree at North Wood High School Friday night. Game time is 7:30 p.m. The game will be played on the new North Wood field. ’ Participating with the Warriors and host Panthers are Plymouth and Northridge. The field will open at 6:30 p.m with Wawasee fans urged to use the north entrance which is close to the area where they will sit Adult tickets are $2. student
Traffic procedure given for North Wood
North Wood High School Principal Michael Keppler has announced the following traffic procedure for football games at North Wood High School Traffic will enter from either CR 52 or SR 19 and will be directed by officers at each entrance. Cars entering from CR 52 will park in the south part of the parking lot and cars entering from SR 19 will park in the north part of the parking lot. There will be officers present to assist car drivers in parking. To improve traffic flow and for pedestrian safety there will be no parking in the following areas: from the football field fence on the west to the eastern most row of parking lot lights, along the north football field fence between the north gate and the west fence, and along SR 19. ELAM NAMED DIVING COACH — Joe Elam, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Elam, r I Syracuse, was recently named head diving coach at Texas Tech University. The announcement was made by Athletic Director John Conley for the University in Lubbock. Texas. During the 1986-81 season. Elam was head diving coach al. Indiana State University, where he coached two women divers to the 1981 Nationals held at Penn State University. This marked the first such trip in Indiana State Swim Team history. Elam compiled a record oil seven out of eight dual meet first places and four sweeps of ffrst and second ptace on the high anil) low board events. His biggest win came when his top two female divers earned first and second over Big Ten rival Purdu? University.
