Area students earn Ball State degrees

A record number of 3,212 students, including 18 from Kosciusko County, completed degrees at Ball State University in Muncie this spring. The newly-installed university president. Dr. Robert P. Vandals break windows with rocks Two Syracuse area businesses reported vandalism due to rock throwing on July 16 to the Syracuse police. The Overhead Door Company reported three windows were broken on the back side of their building. Damage to the windows was estimated at $lB. Gary Meek, r 4, reported the windshield and side glass of his 1964 Century boat were broken with rocks. The boat was parked behind his business. Cushions. Inc. Richard Allan Mitchell, 21. r 1 North Webster, returned from Whitley County for a Circuit Court hearing Pontoon, fishing boot collide A pontoon and a fishing boat collided at 5:43 p.m. Sunday on Oswego Lake The crafts were driven by Edward Hearn. 11, r 1 Leesburg and Brian Hoskins. 14, Fort Wayne Both were eastbound on the lake Hearn was about to dock the pontoon and Hoskins misjudged the distance between the crafts and turned infront of the pontoon. The splash fin on the pontoon boat struck the fishing boat's starboard ahead of the driver's seat. Neither of the youths was injured. There was no damage to the pontoon owned by Steve Hearn, r 1 Leesburg Damages of approximately $35 were listed to the boat owned by Keith Hoskins, Fort Wayne.
