Awards program at WHS Friday Wawasee High School will hold its 13th annual HonorAwards Program on Friday, May 15. The program, which will be held in the physical education area, will begin at 1:30 p.m. and conclude at 3 p.m. All parents of graduating members of the Class of 1981 are urged to attend if possible. Other patrons of the school community are also welcome.

GOING TO NATIONALS — La Donna Mackey, a senior at Wawasee High School, recently qualified for the Distributive Education Club of America's National competition in Anaheim. Calif., in June. She placed second in the general merchandise series at the State DECA Conference in Clarksville. The conference was held in April. Treesh named best instructor
Mark A. Treesh, r 2 Milford, was named the best graduatestudent instructor in Purdue University’s School of Management for 198081. A second-year master’s student in management, Treesh received a check for $250 and a certificate. He will receive his degree this month. Ten other students were named outstanding graduate-student instructors in the school. The students were cited by Keith V. Smith, dean, and Richard S. Walbaum, assistant dean for undergraduate administration, for their contributions as classroom teachers and as junior Autos collide Autos driven by Edna H. Anderson, 79, r 1 North Webster and Lucile Cook, 71, r 1 Warsaw, collided at the intersection of Main and South Streets, North Webster, Wednesday afternoon, May 6. Kosciusko County Police estimated damages at $1,200 to both autos.

Shad Hunter, Wawasee High School senior, escorted her to Wawasee’s Senior Prom in a rented, chauffeur-driven limousine. Hunter b the son of Mr. and Mfrs. Fred Hunter. Wawasee Heights. The couple dined in Fort Wayne and then were picked up in the limo driven by Fred Vaughn, South Bend executive limousine service owner-operator. Schielers host to Bachelors The Milford Happy Bachelors 4-H club met at the home of Clark and Stacey Schieler on Monday night. May 11. President Greg Weisser called the meeting to order. Toby Harney led in saying the pledge to the American flag and Randy Beer led the 4-H pledge. Kathy Weisser gave the treasurer’s report which was then followed with recreation led by Clark and Stacey. The meeting was then turned over to leader Dan Beer and he passed out project books to the members. The June meeting will be held on the 15th at Tim Troup’s home.
