SPOOL KNITTING — Annabelle Anglin's second grade class at Milford Elementary School has learned tospool knit and made colorful hotpads \bo\e. Mrs. Anglin tacks the students' creations on a hallway bulletin board. Mrs. \nglin says the spool knitting helps develop finger muscles and teaches measuring. In its third meet of the season, the Milford Junior High boys’ track team defeated Pierceton 59-41 in a combined meet Tuesday, April 21 The Trojans’ Monday. She is taking the two-year course to earn her license in cosmetology. The girls also have patrons as if they were working in a beauty shop atmosphere. Webster track team wins over Pierceton
The North Webster seventh and eighth grade boys’ track team defeated the Pierceton school team 69-36. last Thursday. April 16. at the Whitko High School track Brad Mitchell lead the way by taking first in the flO meter lowhurdles, pole vault and the 200 meter dash Other North Webster boys capturing firsts were: Mike Morrison, long jump; Brian Keim, discus; Brian Meek, 100
meter dash, Troy Minton, 1,600 meter run; Brian Popenfoose, 400 meter dash; Jeff Roberts, Kent Nulf, Brad Mitchell and Brian Meek, 800 meter relay team. Also placing from North Webster were. Waltz, second in high jump; Nulf, third an high jump; Roberts, second in shot put; Roberts, third in discus; Brindle, third in 110 meter low hurdles; Morrison, third in 100 meter dash; Klein, second in 1,600 meter run; Morrison, second in 400 meter dash; Waltz, second in 800 meter run; Minton, third in 800 meter run and Popenfoose, third in 200 meter dash. Clarinet Stolen Tom Stiver, 106 South Harrison St., Syracuse, reported his daughter’s Signet clarinet was stolen during sixth period April 16 at Syracuse Junior High School. The instrument, valued at $225, was recovered by Syracuse police with slight damage to the clarinet. The feeds were broken, with an expense not exceeding sl. according to reports.

CVT-A-THON — The cosmetology class at Fairfield High School sponsored a cut-a-thon on Thursday . April 16. in the school. Any patron who came to have his or her hair done was asked to give a donation for the disadvantaged students in the Fairfield School sy stem. Students from West Noble, Wawasee. EXPLAIN S CAREER — Jack Marlette, guidence counselor and athletic trainer for Wawasee High School, explained his career as athletic trainer during career day at Fairfield High School. Thursday, April 16, Marlette spoke to three different groups of high school students who were interested in becoming trainers. Included in his presentation was the explanation of equipment and education needed. Marlette was one of many career specialist who gave high school students at Fairfield an idea of their occupations during the afternoon session. This is the second year for the career dax. Webster youth booked for shoplifting North Webster's Augsburger s grocery store officiate reported a shoplifter took a bottle of Dermassage soap Thursday evening. April 16. Following questioning, Greg Ray Flynn, 18, North Webster, was booked at the Kosciusko County Jail and charged with conversion by county police.
