William G. Burgett of Milford He was stationed at Camp Pendleton, San Diego. Calif. On returning, he will go to Camp LaJeune, N.C. where he will attend school. Mr and Mrs. Glen Brown of Lombard, 111., visited in Milford over the week end. They spent Saturday with Mr. and Mrs. Robert Brown Mr. and Mrs. Theo Beer of' Milford had as their Sunday guests the following people; Mr and Mrs Carl Fiechfer of Bluffton and Bernard Beer and children. Brad. Todd and Kirk of Nappanee 20 YEARS AGO, M ARCH 9. 1961 Clark Crafton. Milford star basketball player, broke the school’s individual score record; it was announced by coach Jerald
Van Meter today. He made a total of 484 points this season which was six points over the school record made by Glyn (Sonny) Hamilton. Hamilton was a 1955 graduate and set a school record with a total of 478 points. The March 6 birthdays of Andrew Beer, Walter Steffen and Nettie Haab were observed when they and a group had dinner at Horn’s restaurant in Warsaw on Sunday. Covers were laid for Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Beer. Mr. and Mrs. Donald Beer, Mr. and Mrs Walter Beer of Bremen, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Steffen, and Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Haab and Nattie of Syracuse. The above mentioned and their families spent the evening in the Haab home where ice cream, cake, cookies and cos fee were served Mrs. Doral McFarren was pleasantly surprised for her birthday Monday afternoon-when Mrs Ralph Miller and daughter. MrS. Levi Chupp, Mrs. Donn Kesler and daughter. Mrs. Ben Kaiser and son. and Mrs Richard Smith arrived at her home with a birthday cake and ice cream. The afternoon was spent socially Mr. and Mrs Gordon Rhoades were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Plomer Michael at dinner at Howard’s Sunday in honor of the birthday of Mrs Rhoades. He and George Washington share the same birthday. February 22. The group enjoyed a chicken dinner served family style. Herman Weisser has returned home from Sacramento. Mrs. and Mrs. Azie Tucker recently vacated the Gregg farm and are now located on the Klopenstine farm southeast of here. Mr. and Mrs. Elgia Husband and Mr and Mrs Abe Netrower of Wakarusa, visited the latter’s brother Thomas Earl of Northwest of Milford, Thursday. Mrs. Earl is improved from an illness. Mrs Belle Pinkerton spent Monday with Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Blough of Goshen Mrs. V. G. Hursey was hostess to the Merry Jayne club Friday evening Guests of the hostess were Mesdames D. Vanderveer, Eugene Felkner and Noble Myers After the sewing hour bridge was played and refreshments served. The fire department was called to the home of Mrs Hershberger Friday noon when a roof fire was discovered. It is believed that the blaze was started from a spark from the chimney. The small blaze was extinguished before the fire company arrived and only slight damage was done.

As a licensed real estate broker, Rinehart has a long. Clark enters guilty plea Kosciusko County Superior Court took action Thursday. March 5, against Michael Albert Clark, 29, r 2 Syracuse. Clark pleaded guilty to %irglary. a Class C felony, pursuaht to a plea bargain between himself, his attorney Richard L. Mehl, and Prosecuting Attorney Mike Miner. 1 He was charged after he and an accomplice broke into the home of George W. Burkley. 142 North Shore Drive. Syracuse with the intent to commit a theft, on December 12 to 19. 1980 . Various items were removed from the residence as a result. Under the terms of the agreement the charge was reduced from a Class B fejony and there is no agreement that any sentence will be suspended. Other pending charges will not be filed, as well, under the terms of the agreement. Sentencing was set for-11 am. April 2.
