Cindy i’de, currently a volunteer feautician in the Hair Shop said Why not take one day a week of my time to work with people.to make them look better, to che< them up? It makes me feel gold too. I enjoy my work and the people. I enjoy teaching them tes/c beauty skills. It gives both <j us an ‘ up-lift"." She also said dat most of the clients leave the d°P looking and feeling good evetpf they came in "down” and depressed.

Elegant Strawberry Parfait Made Easy Makes 6 servings 3/4 cup Strawberry Jam 1/4 cup chopped pecans 1 teaspoon grated lemon peel 2 packages (3-1/2 ounces each) vanilla instant pudding mix 1/2 cup whipped topping 2 tablespoons chopped pecans 6 maraschino cherries Combine strawberry jam, nuts and lemon peel. Blend well and chill. Prepare vanilla pudding according to package directions. Cool, cover and chill. When ready to serve, spoon alternating layers of pudding and strawberry mixture into parfait glasses. Top each parfait with whipped topping, pecans and cherry. Keep cool until serving time.

Assessing underway Assessing is underway in Van Buren Township and Trustee Walter Wuthrich is urging everyone to report boats, motors, trailers, truck caps and to pay dog tax. Farmers are reminded it is their duty to report farm equipment to the assessor. All are urged to file early with the deadline being May 15. The trustee’s office is located in the Wuthrich home at 316 E. Catherine Street, Milford. Township Clerk Martha Wuthrich stated the office is open from 9 a m. until 4 p m. six days a week.

Cindy M. Sheets, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lynn E. Sheets. P. O. Box 96 Syracuse, became the bride of Mark T. Taylor of Topeka, son of Mr and Mrs. Calvin A. Taylor, at 3:30 p m. Sunday. Feb 8, at the United Methodist Church in Ligonier Some 175 guests attended the double-ring ceremony in which Rev. Richard Bucher of the Topeka Mennonite Church officiated The altar decorations included one altar bouquet, two spiral tree candelabras with white gladiolas. white poms and pink carnations James Kalb, vocalist, sang “Sunrise Sunset” and “The Wedding Prayer.” The organist. 1 Glenda Stephens, played selections including “0 Perfect Love." "0 Faithful Heart," "Wonderous Love." "IF’ and "Savior, lilde a Shepherd Lead .Us.” The bride wore a high neck whitevfeorganza gown designed ( with full lace trimmed bishop sleeves, a sheer yolk accented with a V-shaped band and stand up collar of Chantilly lace appliques and silk Venise lace trimmed the bodice. The gown's full skirt of accordian pleats flowed from an empire waistline with a wide lace ruffle bordering the bottom which flowered into a chapel train. She wore a full circular finger tipped length veil that was appliqued with venise lace and a scallopped rolled edge The bridal bouquet included pink sweetheart roses, white and huckleberry mini carnations, white Fuji poms. Assisting in the reception were Cherry Jett, Deb Miller. Mel Green, Becky Miller and Jana Hoschstetler Mr. and Mrs. Taylor honeymooned in Hawaii for one week and visited Boise. Idaho, for one week. The couple will reside at 1001 S Main. Ligonier. The bride graduated from Wawasee High School in 1974 and is employed by United Telephone as a telephone representative. The bridegroom is a self employed farmer. He graduated from West Noble High School in 1974
