HAD a bit of everything weather-wise on Sunday — sunshine, clouds, rain, snow and wind — but it wasn't too bad a day. Maybe we could say March came in like a confused lion! Feb. 2C. “ They had a quiet family celebration on Sunday in their Emeline Street home with members of ther family — Mr. and Mrs Tim Motts and Mrs Connie Roderick , and two daughters Karen and Jennifer, all of Elkhart Mr. and Mrs. Motts were married February 26. 1922. in Glenwood. -O’MILFORD TOWN Board Member Jean Treesh wants everyone to know how honest little Chayo Garza is Mrs Treesh had' placed $lO in a paper tube in front of her house The money disappeared °Chayo found the envelope with the money and gave it to Principal Ned Speicher at the elementary sdhool. * ROGER AND Sandy Baumgartner hosted a party for the Milford eighth grade basketball players, cheerleaders and their parents on Thursday evening in the Christian Church's activities center. The featured event was a basketball game between the boys and their dads and coach Rich Bender The final score was , 119-119. Roger Baumgartner led the fathers with 28 points, followed by “Tob" Swihart with 25. Jay Baumgartner led the boys with 32. follow rd by Seth Swihart with 31. A supper was served to approximately 30 persons following the game —o— A NEW look is being given to Sharp's Hardware on Main Street with remodeling going on there. Dennis Sharp stated a new office was constructed and the sa-yenr-old hardwood maple floor is having polyurethane put on. giving it the look of a gymnasium floor.

Kosciusko County Township Assessors and Trustee Assessors began assessing personal property on Monday, March 2. according to Avis Gunter, Kosciusko County Assessor. Personal property to be assessed for 1981 includes trucks with a declared gross weight of more than 11.000 pounds: truck bodies, including pickup cam pers. trailers, fold-down campers; tractors; buses; snowmobiles; boats, motors, boat trailers; and all other vehicles subject to annual registration and not subject to excise tax. business inventory and equipment, including leased equipment, livestock, gram, hay and equipment on farms. Kerri, daughter of John and Shirley Augsburger. is a recent graduate of Ball State Vniversity and plans to go to Korea in the fall where she will work with missionary children. Kerri's dream is to become a missionary in China.

Lifesaving class to start at Warsaw A lifesaving class will begin Tuesday. March 10. at the Kosciusko Community YMCA so that adults and students can obtain certification to lifeguardd at one of the area s many lakes or pools this summer The course, entitled Red Cross Senior Lifesaving, is a prerequisite for all lifeguards and is the only way to become a certified guard Students who want to lifeguard for a summer job or parents who would like to make their lake front safe, may sign up for the class at the YMCA which is located across the street from the county fairgrounds. All aspects of water safety including CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation >will be included in the class A 20-hour course will be held from 7.30-9 p m each Tuesday night beginning March 10.
