| LOUISA’S LETTER @
Dear Louisa. My husband is a stay at home. I know he has a very confining job but when he gets home every evening he acts like he is exhausted and all he wishes to do is to watch television or read a book. It is- very boring to stay home all day with the children and never see anyone else. We live in a surburb and there are some nice couples here that we could go out w ith if he was agreeable. He says he doesn't get to see many more people than I do as he is a bookkeeper and the only times he sees anyone else is at lunchtiml which is only one hour. What do you think about this situation? Bored -N.J. Answer: Os course there are dozens of women whose husbands are so restless that they have a hard time keeping up such a pace and these

women would be only too happy to trade places with you and have a husband who likes to stay home at night. The solution for your case, however, seems to be inviting some of your neighbors to your home for a coffee hour or having a couple for dinner, occasionally. You would be invited back in return and your husband might find it a pleasant change from television or reading if it doesn't happen too often. Occasionally, you might get some reliable person to stay with the children while you go to a movie or take part in some church or civic organization. You will come in contact with nice people in work of this kind and it will certainly go a long way ’ toward keeping you from being bored. Louisa. Address: Louisa, Box 532, Orangeburg, S. C. 29115
