Silver Thimble club has Christmas party

Members of the Silver Thimble Club of the Milford Apostolic Christian Church held their Christmas party Monday evening in the church hall. The singing of the Doxology preceded the meal of stuffed chicken breasts, catered by Jennie Heckaman. The tables were decorated with candles, Christmas figurines, greenery and fir trees. Carols were sung accompanied by Mrs. Robert Lee Beer at the piano. The “Christmas Story" was read by Mrs. Steven Haab and Mrs. Richard Kaiser read the origin of the Christmas tree and its decorations. The outgoing president, Mrs. Ray Haab, was given a glass bell. Minor hit-skip in Milford Milford Town Marshal Dayid Hobbs investigated a minor nitskip accident on Main Street at 3 p.m. last Friday. A vehicle hit the side of a 1977 Chevrolet pick-up in front of the Wayne Richardson property, damaging the mirror. Damages were set at S4O.

Robin Hamman becomes bride of Benjamin R. Cretcher

Robin Marie Hamman of North Webster and Benjamin Ray Cretcher of Bourbon solemnized wedding vows Saturday, Nov. 8, at 7 p.m. at the Warsaw Wesleyan Church. Pastor Dwight Addington officiated at the double-ring ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert J. Hamman of North Webster. Parents of the bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin 0. Cretcher of Bourbon. Given in marriage by her father, the bride was attended by Lisa Marks, Warsaw, as maid-of-honor and her sister, Jacquelyn J. Smith, Warsaw, as matron-of-honor. The bride’s niece and nephew.

Jennifer and Keith Smith, Warsaw, participated as flowergirl and escort. Lowell Miller. Tippecanoe, attended the bridegroom as bestman with Tom King. Warsaw, as groomsman and Floyd Cretcher. brother of the bridegroom, Bourbon, as the ring bearer. Don Pemey. Warsaw, .anti Jerry L. Smith. Warsaw, served as ushers. Mrs/Richard Coy of Syracuse, cousin of the bride, was the organist. Immediately following the ceremony, the couple greeted 200 guests at’ a reception held at the American Legion Post in Warsaw. The bride is a 1979 graduate of Wawasee High School. Her husband is a 1976 graduate of Triton High School and attended ' Ball State University Both Mr. and Mrs. Cretcher are employed by R. R. Donnelley and ’Sdrts Company in Warsaw. Since their return from a brief honeymoon trip, the couple is residing at 1403 Ranch Road in Warsaw. A Thanksgiving meal was enjoyed by 14 members and guests, Pastor Roger and Mim Eberley, Mr. and Mr. Carl Duncan, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Kern, Mr. and Mrs. Kerr, and Roy and Carol Martin. Roy and Carol Mdrtin gave a slide presentation entitled, “Praise the Lord while waiting for the train,” with beautiful scenery set to music such as “How Great Thou Art.” Thanks was given to the hosts for the evening, Raymond and Hoover.
