LOUISA’S letter
Dear Louisa. 1 have a good husband and we have two dear little children but our worst problem is there never seems to be enough money that .we would like to have to givd our children the things that so many of their friends have. My husband doesn’t have a big salary but he is very thoughtful to me and gives the boys a great deal of time. He takes them for walks on holidays and Sundays and plays simple games with them or reads to them before they go to bed. I could get a job as I have worked before the children came but they are three and five years old and I feel that they need me. I do my own work and as my husband’s work is close by he comes home for lunch and 1 try to , have nourishing meals. We also have a small garden Primary Mothers finalize plans When the Primary Mothers Club gathered at Chris Clodfelter’s home on Monday, Nov. 17. they finalized plans for the annual Morning with Santa.’ The event will be Saturday, Dec. 13, at 9. 30 a.m. The schedule includes a light breakfast, a bazaar, entertainment and a visit with Santa. which helps our grocery bill. The children seem happy now but do you think they will resent doing without things later on? M.M.-Tenn. Answer: Your children, in my opinion are receiving the most important things in the world--the love, attention and understanding of their parents. This will mean more to them later on than any of the material things you could have given them. Later on, when the children are in school, you might take a part-time job to help out, as their real needs become greater but, while they are small, it will be better to stay on the home job. Louisa.
