citizens test the vehicles and make suggestions. The four models which he and two other employees, Wenzel Pruitt and Leroy Zartman, manufacture are designed with the split pedal crank and dual chains, which is different than the pedal crank on a paddle boat. The split crank allows one person to use the pedals while the pedals on the passenger side stay immobile until used, adding safety to the vehicle. Rinker stated that a lot of safety factors have been tied into the models and the transmission is geared low for the elderly citizens. The SR Deluxe, SRX, SRA and SRF models are all made out of one body which can be converted into any of the models by just changing the seating arrangements. Rinker stated you can start with the basic vehicle and keep adding extras. Any bicycle accessory is adaptable to the vehicle.
He added that the Pedal Power car is designed so that if any part malfunctions the owner can go to an auto part store or bicycle shop to pick up replacements. The bodies of the cars are fiberglass and are durable with a high lustre finish. The body color, accent strips and interior are coordinated. There’s three-speed
