Niemeyer speaks to Lakeland Kiwanis Club
Ernie Niemeyer. Republican candidate for the United States House of Representatives, Second Congressional District, was guest speaker for the Kiwanis Club of Lakeland, North Webster, Monday, Oct. 6. Other guests present that evening were Mike Valentine, Warsaw attorney and Kosciusko County coordinator for the Republican Party; and Jean Northenor, Republican Party County Chairman and coiinty auditor. Niemeyer is serving his third term in the Indiana State Senate and currently is chairman of the Indiana Senate Governmental Affairs Committee and ranking member of • the Senate State Corrections Committee. With the fire in the courthouse, Tuesday, Sept. 30, it’s been hard to locate the Kosciusko County offices. The following list shows where offices are located: Area Plan Commission — Trailer on west courthouse lawn County Assessor — Welfare Department County Auditor — Office not opened yet, but Jean Northenor is in her office Child Protection Service — Welfare Department Circuit Court — Court hearings will be held in the Old NIPSCo building Clerk’s office — Reopened in courthouse, same location

Senior Mothers see program on garden flowers When the Senior Mothers’ Club met on Monday. Oct. 13, in the home of Lucille Burson, they saw a demonstration on flower arrangements. Bea Robbins, in charge of the program, used some of her own garden petunias, geraniums, etc. and told some general rules to follow. She gave everyone a miniature geranium to home and replant for the winter months in the house J One guest and six members were present. Vice-president Thelma Walton conducted the business meeting. The hostess served refreshments, assisted by Mildred Carson. The November meeting will be at Thelma Brinkman’s home.
