There will be no regular meeting in October due to the seminar and all members are encouraged to come. Speakers will be Jean Lynch on Courthouse Records; Ron Sharp, on Civil War and Kosciusko County; Waldo Adams on Occupations of the early settlers; Lester Binnie on Cemetery searching; and Bill Darr on Church Records. Lunch will be between 12:30-1:30 p.m. at a nearby restaurant or the participants may bring their own lunches. Coffee will be available. Retired teachers committees receive instructions Officers and standing committee members of the Kosciusko County Retired Teacher’s Association recently held a luncheon meeting at North Webster. Mildred Smith of Warsaw, chapter president, presided and gave general instructions concerning committee duties. She also stressed the importance of committee work. Chairpersons of the special committees gave individual presentations of the projects planned for the 1980-82 biennium. The October 14 meeting which will be held at the Warsaw Shrine Building, is to be the last meeting for the group for 1980. The county unit urges all retired teachers to join the Indiana Retired Teachers’ Association. That group works to gain better benefits for retired teachers in the state.
