Scout leader tells Kiwanis of Philmont Ranch experience
Luther Allen, area Boy Scout leader and Lakeland kiwanis Club member, was the guest speaker at the club's meeting Monday morning, Sept. 29, in North Webster. The North Webster Boy Scout Troop traveled to Philmont Boy Scout Ranch in New Mexico this summer. Eleven scouts from the North Webster area made the trip. A Boy Scout must be 14 years old by September 1 to participate in the Philmont Ranch program. Philmont Ranch consists of 137,000 acres in Northern NewMexico and is a part of the Wade Phillips Ranch donated for Boy Scout leadership training and activities.
