[ll K JH Robert Kaiser April 20, 1920 —June 26, 1980 Robert Kaiser, 60, r 2 Milford, died at 3:45 a m. Thursday, June 26, in South Bend Memorial Hospital. He had been in failing health the past several weeks. Kaiser was born in Milford on April 20, 1920, to Ben and Marie (Von Bergen) Kaiser. In June/ 1941, he married Helen Graff. She died in October 1968. On May 24, 1970, he married Carol Weisser. She survives. A lifetime resident of MilfoSl he was a member of the Lkaig Gospel Church, Nappanee; an insurance broker with the Little and Clark Insurance Agency, Milford; a U.S. Army veteran of World War II; and a member of the Gideons. Additional survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Gary (Jean» Branson, Lafayette; one son, Steven, Milford; two grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Howard (Eleanor) Beer, Milford, Mrs. David (Harriette) Hoerr, Peoria, Ill.; two brothers, Harold and Ben both of Milford. Funeral services were held Saturday, June 28, at 10 a m. in the Living Gospel Church. Rev. Otto Beer. Jr., pastor. officiated Burial was in the Milford cemetery. Edith M. Leap March 19. 1913 —July!. 1980 Edith M. Leap, 67. North Webster, died Tuesday, July 1, at 9:52 p.m. in Parkview Memorial Hospital. Fort Wayne. Mrs. Leap passed'away from an apparent heart attack. She was born in Madison County on March 19, 1913 to Rueben and Florence (Gahimer) Maddox. In 1941 she married Robert Leap who preceded her in death in 1970. Mrs. Leap resided in North Webster since 1955. She retired from North Webster Products and was a member of the North Webster United Methodist Church. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Wayne (Diane) Jernigan and Mrs. Patrick Snook, both of North Webster. Also surviving are one son. Russell Roland of El Segundo,

June 26, in his home following an extended illness. He is a retired carpenter. Morris was born in Montpelier, on June 2, 1907, to Earl and Mae (Dangerfield) Morris. On June 2, 1928, he married the former Yolanda Perry. She survives. A member of the Milford Christian Church, Morris was a of the Kosciusko Lodge No. 418 of F and AM, Milford. He had resided in the Dewart Lake area for 30 years. Additional sui vivors include two daughters. Mrs. Wilmer (Donna) Bailey, Kalamazoo. Mildred Leedy Aug. 10,1898 —June 26,1980 Mrs. Mildred Leedy. 81, 404 North Lake St,, Warsaw, mother of Mrs. Junior (Marjorie) Hollar, r 4 Syracuse, died Thursday, June 26, at 11:50 p.m. in Kosciusko Community Hospital. She had been failing in health the past three months. She was born on August 10, 1898, at Atwood to William and Myrtle (Wright) Creighton. On ; March 15, 1919, she was married to Homer Byrer. He died on December 3,1968, and on June 6,
1972, she married Boyd Leedy. He survives. Mrs. Leedy moved to Warsaw in 1943 and was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, active in the Women’s Missionary Society, member of the Jolly Mixer’s Club, the Stony Point Neighbors Club and was a longtime Red Cross volunteer. Additional survivors include one son. Dale Byrer, Etna Green; five grandchildren; six greatgrandchildren; three brothers, Russell Creighton, Warsaw, Charles Creighton, r 5 Warsaw and Kermit Creighton, Atwood; and one sister, Mrs, Albert (Marjorie) Schafer, Bowling Green, Ohio. She was born on August 10, 1955, in Nappanee to Lambert, and Vivian Kanowitz, Scottsdale, Ariz. She lived in Kent, W’a., since March. Death was due to complications of an extended illness. He is the brother-in-law of Stan and Raymond Custer, Milford. Elden married the former Dorothea Custer. He was a retired supervisor with Southern Engineering Co., Army veteran of World War 11, a member of Capital View Lodge, 640 F & AM, and deacon of Read Oak First Baptist Church.

Francis Sriver Francis Sriver, 64, Ottumwa, lowa, nephew of Arthur, Arch and Edith Baumgartner and Helen Funk, all of Milford, died Tuesday, June 24, from heart failure in his home. He was a retired railroad conductor and operated a bicycle shop in Ottumwa. Survivors include his wife, a daughter and son, two sisters and his mother, the former Clara Baumgartner. Funeral services were held. Thursday, June 26, in Ottumwa. The members of the Baumgartner family attended the funeral. Milford EMS A nine-year-old boy suffering chest pains was transported from Camp Mack to Goshen Hospital Thursday, June 26.

Clark and Ida Alice Crowl Gibson and was born near Milford on July 22, 1896. He grew up on the farm near Milford and later moved to Elkhart, where he worked for the Godfrey Coal Conveyor Co. On October 5, 1918, in Elkhart, he married the former Ida Mae Clagett. She survives. The family moved from Indiana to Eagle Grove, lowa, in 1948 and for three years they owned and operated the MaidRite Sandwich Shop. In 1951 he became a full time fire truck driver and a part-time policeman for the city of Eagle Grove until his retirement. In 1978 the couple moved to the Villa Care Center in Fort Dodge and in April 1979 they moved to the Clarion Care Center, Clarion. He was a past member of the lowa State Policeman’s Association. Additional survivors include two daughters. Mrs. Paul (Leta) Holden, Elkhart; Alice Gibson, Chicago, Ill.; a son, Kyle B. Gibson, Sacramento, Calif.; five grandchildren; two grea granddaughters; two stepgrandsons. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters. Funeral services were conducted on Monday, June 9, at 10:30 a.m. in the Kastler-Babcock Funeral Home, Eagle Grove. Dr
On Saturday. June 28, a 17-year-old boy was taken to the Goshen Hospital emergency room after suffering a seizure at his home. Syracuse EMS Many area residents required the Emergency Medical Services this week. On June 22 Barbara Howard, 28, r 2 box 515 Syracuse, was at the Fish Hatchery when she became ill. Howard was transported to Goshen Hospital. Darlene Coverstone, 36, r 5 box 115 Syracuse, became ill at 11:29 am., on June 24. She was left to her husband's care. John Simmons, 73, P.O. Box 91 Syracuse, became dizzy and weak on June 24 and was transported to Fort Wayne’s VA Hospital. On June 25, Eva Smith, 77, 312 Dolan Drive, Syracuse, became ill at 3:20 a m. and was transported to Goshen Hospital. Ernest Richards, 81. 213 West High St., Syracuse, developed flulike symptoms at 1:38 a.m., on June 25, and was transported to Goshen Hospital. Sue Aikens, 30. Lot 4 Haviland’s Trailer Court, was sufferng from head and chest pain and transported to Goshen Hospital. This occurred on June 25 at 6:44 p.m. Bill Porp. 15, of Winconsin, was involved in a skiing accident on Thursday, June 26. He was transported to Goshen Hospital. Icel Lepley det. 27.1891 — June 17.1980 Icel Lepley, 88, formerly of North Webster, died Tuesday, June 17, at 6 p.m. in Miller’s Merry Manor, Columbia City. She had been a patient for several years. She was born on October 27, 1891, to Melvin and Etta (Myers) King. On March 13, 1913, she married Shirley Lepley. He died on March 16,1980 Mrs. Lepley was a member of the Pleasant View Church of the Brethren, South Whitley} Survivors include one daughter. Mrs.. Loren (Ruby) Badskey, North Webster; one grandson, Jerry, North Webster; one granddaughter, Mrs. Luther (Janet) Allen, Leesburg; five great-grandchildren; and one brother, Harry King, South Whitley. Funeral services were conducted Friday, June 27, at 2 p.m. in the Miller Funeral Home and burial was in the South Whitley cemetery.
Pickwick Road and Chinese Gardens with a motorbike on Thursday, June 26. The bike skidded and he fell on his right side. Schmall was transported to Goshen Hospital. He is the son of Doug and Judy Schmall. Ron Pluchel, 20, of Marion, Ind., required an ambulance on Sunday. June 29. He cut his foot and the EMS responded to Harp Landing. Pluchel was transported to Goshen Hospital. Syracuse resident B. William Gingrich, 80, r 4, was injured while stepping over a fence on Monday, June 30. Gingrich was transported to South Bend Memorial Hospital. Viola Fleischaurer. 74, 512 N. Branch St.. Syracuse, was suffering from pain at 12:09. The Syracuse EMS transported her to Goshen Hospital. Gordon A. Perry, 70, r 1 box 64, North Webster, became ill at 5:44 p.m. on Tuesday. July 1. The ambulance responded to Bonar Lake. He was then transported to Goshen Hospital. Seven-year-old Jason Martin Dale, r 5 box 109, Syracuse, developed breathing problems and was transported to KCH. Bill Magething, 36, Lot 8, Haviland Mobile Manor, suffered from soreness in his left shoulder on Tuesday, July 1, at 10:43 p.m. EMS responded and advised him to rest. Diana Clark. 24, 72833 CR 29, Lot 12, Haviland Mobile Home Park, was lying in her yard when EMS responded on Wednesday, July 2, at 6:41 a m. She said §he needed no help.
