Bowen Center needs volunteers
The Bowen Center Volunteer Services Department has need of the following Volunteer positions: 1. HAIR STYLISTS - This position calls for hair stylists who are licensed and can give at least one-half day a week. No week ends. The hair stylist is free to choose morning or afternoon. If you care about people, are able to do both men and women’s hair, and like a cheerful, interesting place to work, this is for you. 2. OFFICE MANAGER - We need a capable man or woman
Diabetic class at Goshen
Goshen hospital will be offering a series of classes for diabetics and their families. If you are diabetic, you and your family need to understand how your body functions for you. By understanding diabetes, you can help control it better. The dates for the classes are June 2, 3 and 4 at 7 p.m. Each class is about one hour in length.

They will be held at Goshen hospital. Monday’s class will be “What is Diabetes and How to Care for It”’. This class will be taught by Nancy Schooley, R.N. in Pepple Auditorium. Also included will be a discussion concerning urine testing and insulin injection techniques. Barbara Fierce, dietician, will conduct Tuesday’s class on “Diet and Diabetes” in the dining room, the third class on Wednesday will be on “How Diabetes Affects Your Body”, presented by Dr. M. Marquardt in Pepple Auditorium. The sessions, which require no pre-registration, are free of charge. If you have questions concerning the classes, contact the department of education at the hospital.
