Syracuse Emergency Medical Technician captain Larry Hunter will instruct the course. Pre-registration will be held April 14 and 16. Silver Thimble Club makes bazaar items The Milford Silver Thimble Club met at the home of the president, Mrs. Ray Haab, r 5 Syracuse, Monday evening, April 7. Pillows and other items were made for the club bazaai* to be held in October. It was decided to give a SIOO donation to the Milford Public Library children’s room. The club’s mother-daughter dinner will be held May 6 at the Apostolic Christian Church Fellowship Hall. The arrangement committee consists of Mrs. Wesley Bell, Mrs. Don Hoover, Mrs. Dale Strassheim, Mrs. Frank Beer Jr., Mrs. Steven Beer and Mrs. Philip Beer. Happy Birthday was sung to Mrs Robert Lee Beer and Mrs. Beer and Mrs. Jerry Hostetler were - wished a happy anniversary. For devotions, Mrs. Steven Haab read “Lesson On Faith." The hymn, “I Need Thee Every Hour,” was sung by club members. Mrs. Ray Haab and her cohostess, Mrs. Don Beer Sr., served refreshments of meatballs and hors d’oeuvres during the social hour. Table appointments were colored in pastel shades. Busy Homemakers plan dinner out The Busy Homemakers Club met April 2 with Anna Cripe. Mrs. Frank Charlton was co-hostess. Plans were made for the members to go out to eat, then return to the home of Mrs. Vernon May for an afternoon meeting on May 7. P President Mrs. Glen Pinkerton opened the meeting with the hymn, “In the Garden.” Mrs. Cripe used Job, chapter one. for meditations. Roll call was answered by giving something liked most about Easter. Ten members and two guests, Mrs. Hazel Johnson and Mrs. Gladys Miller were present. The garden lesson was on planning and new ways to work asparagus. It was given by Mrs. May. The health and safety report was being careful when house cleaning and dangers in climbing by Mrs. Paul Schermerhorn. Mrs. Evadean Overholser gave a talk on faith. TO WED MAY 10TH — Coleen J. The May 10 wedding will be held at the Calvary United Methodist Church in Syracuse at 2:30 p.m. VISITS IN CALIFORNIA Vera Schell and Alice Baker, both from Milford, returned home recently from a two-month visit in California. The women flew out to Loma Linda where they visited with Mrs. Baker’s sister-in-law, Mrs. Jule Keighein. Also during their stay in California the ladies went to Long Beach and visited with Mrs. Dewey Wyland, a former Milford resident. Russell enters guilty plea Donald Russell, 25, r 1 Leesburg, pleaded guilty to burglary and theft in Kosciusko Circuit Court Monday, March 31. Russell was charged after he supposedly broke into a building owned by Jack Haffner on the north side of Stanton Lake, taking a lamp, some fishing equipment and some firecrackers on January 10. He will return on May 5 for sentencing.
