Milford answers 39 fire calls Members of the Milford Volunteer Fire Department answered a total of 39 calls during 1979. Twenty-three of the calls were in Vanjjuren Township, 12 were in Milford and four were in Jefferson Township. Total property value was listed at $84,450 in the report given by Chief William A. Leemon. Seven of the fires were dwellings with $56,750 in damages reported. Three of the fires were storage structures with damages of $20,000. Seven were vehicle fires with $7,450 in damages. Grass and trash fires required 17 runs with only $250 in damages being listed Four miscellaneous calls were made. They included emergency service, gas leak, public service and wash down. The department also handled one mutual aid call. Syracuse teenager enters guilty plea A Syracuse teenager, Scott A Johnson, 19, r 4, pleaded guilty in Goshen City Court Friday to peeping into a dwelling in Goshen and was granted a pre-sentence investigation by the court. Johnson was arrested by Goshen City Police after being seen by Phil and Darlene Bailey, 1911 College Avenue, peering through a window of their home. City police apprehended Johnson in his Jeep after he had fled the residence.
