With the precise shooting of Jeff Long and Bart Bowser, they both combined their efforts to take a nine point edge on the Tigers with a half-time score of 40-31 In the second half, however, the Warsaw Tigers took command early in the third quarter and came right back to tie the game and then later going ahead bvj>a small but content threp-ffoint lead. ! It was the fourth quarter, when the Warriors fought \fetick and gave it all they had to try and pull out a victory. With the clock showing two minutes, it looked as though Wawasee had the drive to win the game. Unlike the previous night, the Warriors weren't as agressive as Teresa W&lborn on Spartan basketball team Teresa J. they should have been for the Trojans who arrived in Syracuse ready to play basketball. In the second half of play the Warriors seemed to get things together, showing the crowd the familiar come back type of basketball. They held the Trojans to just 17 points in the third period of play because of their well executed full court press. The Trojans also got into foul trouble early in the period and Wes Runnells of Triton was injured and taken out of the game after a collision with Eric Shepherd. In the fourth quarter the warriors ran away with the game and although they didn't look as good as they did against Warsaw, the Warriors won the game handily 87-52. The Triton Trojans lost all style and charisma in the fourth period and it seemed as though nothing was working for them. Coming away with high scoring honors were Bart Bowser with 22 points and Tom Troup with 16 points. Wawasee will travel to Fairfield this Saturday where the Warriors are hoping to improve their record. In the junior varsity game Wawasee came out on top by a score of 51-45. Top scorers for the night were Jay Auer with 14 points and John Locke with 10 points. Box Scores Follow: WAWASEE (87 > EG FT PF Tom Troup 6 4 2 Mikeßrannock 4 0 5
